pulikali is an important festival in Thrissur Kerala, it is conducted with onam festival ,on fourth onam pulikali is celebrated in Thrissur, different troops from different desoms participate in this festival. people paint their bodys with tiger ,leopard, jaguar and cheetah design ,and wear tiger mask, along with percussion instruments like chenda they dance and show tiger movements on the streets ,lot of people come to watch this spectacular festival. kaattaalans join troops of kanatukara desom and cover complete events from morning to night, kanatukara desom wins the competition an bags five prizes .
