Sounds good, can't beat the sound of a loaded 7.3 I've towed a 28' enclosed gooseneck laoded with tools with my 99 F250 and these old 7.3s just pull like crazy

Just not a good selection of gears without the gear vendors overdrive

Miss my 1999 zf6 best truck ever had saved my dads life he was rearended at 100+ lost control and crashed into a concrete barrier on the highway hard to replace because they’re so expensive now especially if it’s a manual

Dangerous haha! I do this all the time with my old 7.3 4x4 dually service bed. Mine is stock. I think stock power in a hard pull in 4-Lo is less likely to break sometime. Out in the road my truck is slow! 👏🏼

Awesome job! I sure could have used that extra 65 HP yesterday! I wish I had time to weigh that truck to see what the weight was. I think you under estimated the weight at 10,000 Lbs... It started raining in Georgia and made for a miserable drive. I stopped for a cat nap and made it home at 4:30 AM. 1212 miles in just shy of 24 hour hours!

So, when you pop it in 4 high or 4 low you don’t have to get out to lock the hubs for it to actually work? Or do you keep your hubs locked?
@scottbaker431428 күн бұрын
I don't lock the hubs I just use the transfer case for a lower gear ratio that way there's no binding up the drive train
@Fayettepropertysolutions28 күн бұрын
@@scottbaker4314 copy that, for some reason I thought you were saying you were spinning a touch in the rear and so i assumed you might have been in 4x4 since forward progression seemed to stay the same

Check my newest video! Definitely could benefit you while hooking up, or loading your trailer! Safe travels Bother!
@Lray4x4 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't have worried about it, you can put it in 4x4 low, in low gear and it will crawl up the hill without even giving it any fuel.
@scottbaker4314 Жыл бұрын
I did but when there's that much weight and traction something usually breaks like twisting the yoke off the rear driveshaft, which has happened already
@Lray4x4 Жыл бұрын
@@scottbaker4314 Yeah, traction bars helps as well.
