Loving the inside look on how this works. I handle It networks from the isp demarc onward, so it's cool to see how the fiber gets to the demarc.

well done . Amazing how long the fibers run compared to the old copper , t.v. or Telephone lines
@lifeasweknowit52802 ай бұрын
Thank you. I agree, fiber is much lighter and pulls in easier.

You'd think a warehouse that big would have a lift on-hand just on principle.

When i used to come and replace ballasts in some warehouses they would just raise me up on a pallat with a forklift lol

@@chuckd5819 "When i used to come and replace ballasts in some warehouses they would just raise me up on a pallat with a forklift lol" Make them get one of those pallets that they use for 250 gallon shuttles. It is easy to get them for free because they do not want to reuse them. Once the plastic shuttle is removed that leaves you with about 3 to 4 foot high rails along the edge of the pallet. Put some plywood in the bottom and your stuff will not fall through and you have a safety rail all around so you do not fall off. Just chain the shuttle to the forklift and climb inside.
@mnmike6884Ай бұрын
Just a little bit of OSHA violations observed on your climbing. And you didn’t tie yourself off on your 2nd climb.

Yeah oops Why not use scissor lift? Usually can get one that has a deck that slides to extend over the ballards. insurance would not cover your injury. What if you step on that drywall ceiling and someone's in there. Micky mouse

And using pelican clip to tie to a conduit? Not an approved tie off spot.

75 foot of extra cable? That's like 500 bucks of waste

Great job and very interesting. How long was the fiber run in this job. I assume you are running single mode fiber?

those Greenlee cable pullers work wonders for copper and fiber. Got one in the datacenter to do building runs.

Yeah you can move those lifts when they are extended. They automatically go into turtle mode.

Why didn’t you pull a tape along with the fiber?

They did

@@lolMyke Eh, with how wrapped that poly is around the fiber, it's not going to be usable.
