Same here. Me and my co workers had a lot of fun out there. Thats what i miss the most really. The work was cool too.

Honestly I recommend light back up chains for breaking T&S also a column plate to cover the working area and keep the T&S centered during install and remove.

Been thinking of putting spinners on my rigs. Will the break a tapered thread connection like on a submersible pump?
@joemaydon76185 жыл бұрын
If your talking about a pipe spinner like the one I use in the video. Then yes, it should. I've used it on submersibles before with the tapered threaded columns

Ok thank you and yes. What brand are the ones in your video. Things work great.

That looks like a semco pipe spinner

That’s pretty sketchy not having plate on top of the column pipe. Sure the pumps being pulled but a 1 11/16 shaft will do a number in the discharge of the bowls. Also having your pipe wrench closer to over lapping gives better leverage. Good job though!

Very nice set up. We didn't have a hydraulic spinner. Did the old chain tong roundy round.
@joemaydon76185 жыл бұрын
Yeah man that hydro wrench was nice. That was the only rig that had it. The other rigs was still roundy roundy with the chain tongs. I kind of miss it
@joelopez87163 жыл бұрын
I pulled a turbine this morning. But we only have the chain tongs. But we dont call it the round and round, we call it the circle jerk

Why does dude need a cheater bar when the other guy is using the pipe wrench without one
@joemaydon76183 жыл бұрын
I used it to put a bind on the brass bearing so it won't unscrew out. It makes it easier when we bring it back to the shop and inspect or replace them

A lot of hard laboring. We use a flatbed rig that to lat the pipe

It makes it a little easier to break the shaft if you use a come along in the end of your steel

Catheads faster, or breakouts if you have a pulstar
