How much did the pied female weigh when you paired her? 928 grams is about 500-700 grams smaller then what it should be to safely pass the eggs. Was she only around 1200 grams when you paired her? Also wondering if you have ever delt with an egg bound snake since she weighs much less then what is recommended?

I don’t check weights on a regular basis but she was around 1000g. I check weights on hatchlings to make sure they are growing. I’ll check weights on snakes if they go off feed to make sure they aren’t losing weight. Also after they lay. Weight has nothing to do with maturity or follicle development. Also I have not had any egg bound snakes. I have snakes build at 900 and I have had snakes not build till 1800g ish. A snake will build follicles when the snake is ready.

Please take this comment with no bad intentions I do realize one’s personal style is inherently a personal choice. This is my take on this one particular😢 thing… I found your ear gauges to be extremely distracting throughout this video. This is not an ear gauge shame I think it was just the bright blue color. I do love the banter and just the way you and your wife interact. It is a blessing that you two can enjoy this snake hobby together. My ex-husband actively disliked my animal hobbies.
