I recently had a PFT in a doctors office. They had me turn my head to the right 90 degrees and take deep breaths. No instructions about forcing breath out. I did several "deep breaths" (3 sets of 10). I was sitting in a chair in a treatment room. No box. It was my first one.

I am currently and Paramedic and my wife is an RN. We have an opportunity to purchase an existing business that performs PFT at doctors offices around my county. What’s your opinion on this business? Do you know anyone that’s currently doing the same?
@DoldierMedia
@DoldierMedia 3 жыл бұрын
I don’t know of anyone who owns this business privately. I do know that many hospitals in our area have their own pft labs. I think the business is definitely in demand and will be needed for the next 30 years guaranteed. I just don’t know if the money side of the business is worth it. You would have to deal with a lot of insurance companies and their difficult standards, so if there’s good money in it i would do it. But if someone is selling this business, they must have a reason they are selling it and not keeping a profitable business. But on average, my hospital refers about 30 patients a week to get a pft done and it services a few hundred thousand people population. The job itself is very easy too, but you might need to be an RT or hire an RT to do the actual pft’s. I hope this helps!

MOST IMPORTANT REPLY YOU WILL EVER READ Love an update if you went thru w/ this … this world needs independent testing, especially if you don’t play along with this all scam of forcing patients to get a Covid test prior ( research Morgellons ) and one who isn’t part of these forced conglomerates. The testing centers are so far from one another ( an hr from one another , 45 min at a very minimum) so another can always be appreciated. Please research NWO & Agenda 201 ( reason Covid Introduced) Also research Patent #666 actual patent # is WO 2020 06060 w/ LUCIFERase filed 3/26/20 by Bill Gates This patent is required to have in order to buy and sell ( yes exactly as described in the Bible ) , it’s the final step to the vax ( They love a drip feed method ) ( WO= World Order ) This is not a joke and even the Covid test deposits Morgellons. Patent #666 is a glowing microdot technology tattoo that is irrevocable with a knife. There are already numerous states with 100s of thousands of Purple colored black light street light ups ( Purple Reign) to detect those with the mark & w/o ( at last check sev months ago WI, IL, FL, TX & the Carolina’s had them ( there are more states I just can’t recall all rt now) They lie and say all these states “ Accidentally “ put up .. there are no accidents they love the drip feed method and are patient AF. Walgreens in multiple states have computerized refrigerated / freezer doors to get people used to seeing as “new technology” these will eventually be locked and only those who took the mark will be able to open to purchase ( and ALL purchases will be monitored ) The masks will repeatedly come off and on to give people of sense normalcy may return, it never will & they will be slamming people to the Mat w/ reality. When they drip feed it’s too late to realize you are in the deep end and drowning all bc you wanted to be a “ good person” and help humanity by getting vax/ the mark ( we were warned via the Bible, that Satan is father of lies & that he would deceive THE ENTIRE WORLD) . I know how crazy it sounds but please look into as all is true, I researched this IN DEPTH for many months. We were born into this test called life. I do hope all who read this take it seriously, as crazy as this sounds your soul is at stake. Watch a documentary called Plandemic, Out of Shadows & The Fall of the Cabal & keep digging. All love ❤️

Correction * I said Agenda 201 … I meant to say research EVENT 201 & Agenda 2030.( things are much nearer than 8 yrs ) see The signing of the Peace accords in sept 2020 .. They will be broken in 3.5 yrs.( early 2024) as told in the Bible. I hope this helps even one soul.

Can you still have asthma if you had a normal pulmonary function test?
@DoldierMedia
@DoldierMedia 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can still have a reactive airway. If someone has a hypersensitive airway then they might be constricted and wheezing only when they’ve encountered something that sets them off. Some people who have allergies only start bronchoconstricting when they encounter that particular thing. Many people react when it’s really cold and dry outside. Especially during fire seasons in California, we get so many people coming in with no air movement. But the same people are otherwise perfectly healthy with regards to their lungs and even come in with perfect pft results from before.
@DoldierMedia
@DoldierMedia 4 жыл бұрын
Now if the doctor is willing to diagnose that as asthma is another story, some doctors just diagnose a patient with a reactive airway disease. Which is essentially asthma but I’ve seen many doctors interpret this differently. So technically you can have a reactive airway disease still which is essentially asthma. But I’ve seen more and more doctors lean towards only putting asthma for people who have airways that are mostly always constricted without medication.

I personally have a normal pft and wouldn’t say i have asthma. But my airways are hypersensitive so during fire season and during spring, my lungs are tight and I’m wheezing and albuterol helps me significantly. I hope this helps! The essay lol

In theory, lets say an asthmatic takes this test, but is extremely active & young (running, & other sports), is there a good chance that they would still produce good results? If I breathe out forcefully there is a wheezing sound, but my asthma hasnt slowed me down at all and is generally not a problem. I need good results on an upcoming PFT. Thanks!

well, you're almost there. I'm an RPFT who has been doing PFT's for 12+ years. Just a tip- FEV1 by itself tells you very little. You have compare the FVC and the FEV1. THAT RATIO is what determines if there is obstruction. I'll explain why it is not the FEV1, as the gentleman here stated. FEV1 should be 80% or higher OF THE PREDICTED VALUE. Why is that important?? Let's say you have severe kyphoscoliosis and your volume (FVC) is 75% of predicted. How are you going to blow out 80% or more of your predicted value, when your FVC is lower than normal predicted? I see this quite often in people who use weed. They're used to expanding and opening their lungs through their process and it trains the lungs to hold more air. I've had plenty of people blow 120% predicted (remember, predicted is based on height, weight, age, gender and race). If that person's FEV1 is 80%, even though it is normal, the ratio is way off and the person has obstruction. I've had patients blow FVC's of 60% have and have ZERO obstruction, when their FEV1 was also 60%. How are you going to blow 80% or more on FEV1, when you only have 60% of the air you should have? FVC- volume of air FEV1- the amount of air blown out in the first 1 second FEV1/FVC%- 70% or greater= no obstruction, regardless of FEV1 or FVC values. Even if every other number is normal, if the ratio is too low, there is obstruction.
