there are some points which are confusing 1- u said the bacteria produce toll like receptor ligand which activates toll receptor and secret IL-12 which develops more aggressive immune response towards the bacteria !! so bacteria try to kill itself ??! 2- at 1st residential macrophage cannot destroy the bacteria and after its activation it becomes able to destroy the bacteria !! can you explain this point 3- at 1st you said 1ry T.B affects upper part of lower lobe , and in 2ry T.B the bacteria affects the upper lobe coz it loves O2 !! SO why in 1ry TB it didn't affect the upper lobe from the start !! i wish you could explain those 3 points

Hello, my girlfriend has had a Calcified Ghon's for quite some time now, and being here in the Philippines, it's hard to get a hold of health care. She recently got a check up, and we were both terrified because the doctor said if this calcified ghon's gets larger or bigger somehow it might be a lung scar carcinoma. I wasn't there when she visited the doctor and I just want to know if this is true.

Good morning, It means mantoux test is positive and the person is or was infected with TB organism. It is a screening test, to confirm present or past infection the doctors will advice additional tests like chest X ray, sputum for AFB etc. If TB is diagnosed, a 6 or 9 month long treatment (some cases take longer) will start using specific antibiotics, it cures most of the cases but it must be followed strictly, no daily dose can be missed. In many countries the TB medication are provided free in DOTS centers that also ensures patient is taking medication in front of them. Take care and consult with your doctor to start treatment as soon as possible if it is present infection.

@RabiulHaque8 жыл бұрын
+christopher folloso Hello madam, since your sputum smear is still positive for TB - it means your TB is still infectious. It may take some more time for your sputum smear to be negative for TB. So it is not recommended for you to travel now. Please take your TB medicine regularly, follow your physician's advice and also visit your hospital for regular follow up. Thank you for watching this video and wish you a quick recovery. Bye.
