In the words of Brendan Fraser from "The Mummy" (you know, the good movie), "this just keeps gettin' better and better." Nice job Dave.

That was brilliant! And it's a great example of how to take inspiration from the media that inspired the game.

As always, great stuff. Dave would you review movement. In particular dealing with vertical movement. Thanks.

Hi Dave, what happens if you have to make a challenge, for instance 2 might or cunning, but your character only gets to roll one dice? Is that an immediate failure, followed by a healrh check? Thanks in advance!
@PulpAlley8 ай бұрын
Short Answer - Yes, if you don't (or can't) get enough successes to pass the challenge then it is failed. Long Answer - I normally avoid saying “immediate failure” because there are so many ways that a character can pass a challenge even if they do not normally have enough dice. For example, you may play a Fortune card such as Uncanny or Focus. Maybe there is an Inspiring Leader nearby and so on. Also, if the challenge is a Peril then remember that you always have the option to use your Dodge skill (page 57) - instead of the skills listed for the peril. If the challenge is a Plot Point then you should still roll for the challenge (see Long Actions, page 51). Although the challenge is technically failed, if you roll a success then it lowers the number of successes you’ll need to roll on your next try. In this way, a character can work on a plot point over several turns, or multiple characters can work together to complete a plot point. I hope that helps. Have fun!

@@PulpAlley thanks, this helps a lot. And you also reminded me of my inspiring leader, I forgot about that all game. Well it was only the first game, more to come. Cheers!
