Marcellus sent John Travolta character to find Butch because Butch didn't throw the fight.. like he was supposed to, when Marcellus paid him off.

The timeline of the film takes place in the 90’s. Any Tarantino film is worth a reaction and the more attention you pay to dialogue the better you’ll pick up on some of the subtle connections in the film and to other films in the Tarantino Universe.

Butch was supposed to throw the fight.Thats what the Bar scene was about. In the back room after the fight Marcellus says even if Butch goes to Indochina he wants someone to pop out of a bowl of rice and kill him. Why do you think Butch was so mad about having to go get his watch? He was afraid he'd find one of Marcellus's henchmen waiting to kill him. Then that's exactly what he finds at his apartment, but he gets lucky. This all takes place after the Bonnie situation . Hopefully that answers your questions about why Vincent was at Butch's apartment and why Butch killed him.

Y’all may want to brush up on pop history a bit. The “square thing”, comes from “don’t be a square”, which comes from the 1950’s.

@@chadro_g1145 i thought pop was called pop cause it was about popular singers and bands (most of the bands and singers, not talking about legends who visited the infamous island or made their own amusement park) for about 5-10 years. but still, thanks for the info. my bad not knowing that.

Mia snorted the heroin thinking it was cocaine, that´s the detoning to had the overdose (heroin can be snorted as well, but the most common way it´s like Vincent did, using a needle. Also Mia was quite drugged in that moment). And Vincent goes a lot to the bath, due to he´s an heroin addict, and that provokes you, sometimes, constipation. Even the shot to Marvin´s face, it´s due to heroin, that also provokes you spasms (in this case pulling the trigger).

Also a very subtle line and important scene. Eric stolz(Lance) ask Vincent, during the heroin deal, I'm out of balloons, is a baggie ok? Setting up Mia thinking its cocaine. Heroin is usually transported in airless balloons instead of baggies, for one to avoid this kind of deadly confusion .

16:45 - Vincent took Mia out because his boss Marcelus told him to. Butch shot Vincent because he was there to kill Butch. Butch may not have killed him, but when the toaster popped it startled him and he pulled the trigger.

Mia was in one more scene after. She was in the boxers dressing room and tells Vincent, “I never thanked you for dinner.” This is the type of movie that you have to watch many times to really understand it. I subscribed and 🔔 Looking forward to more. Maybe My cousin Vinny if you haven’t seen it. Cheers and Merry Christmas! 🎁🎄

Some curious facts: - When Butch was with Fabienne in bed, she subtly told him, at least twice, that she was pregnant. Butch didn´t realize. - When Vincent talks to the drug dealer about his scratched car... it was scratched by Butch (after their tense first meeting in Marsellus Wallace´s club).

Not for nothing, but if he thinks Kill Bill is a great Martial Arts film, he needs to be educated. There a lot better action films with Martial Arts sequences.

I think the reason Marcellus sends Mia out with some of his guys is because she does a lot of coke. She's wired all the time. If he leaves her alone at home it's just a matter of time until she gets herself into trouble. He's the boss and part of being the boss is that he thinks his guys wouldn't dare cross him. So by sending her out with someone like Vincent, Marcellus knows she has a babysitter with her to keep her out of trouble. I agree with you on what that pawn shop scene is about. The movie is mostly about these characters involved in violence and crime. They seem like dangerous people. But the pawn shop shows that there is another layer of even crazier violence going on that someone feared like Marcellus is not protected from.

Ok , mia od because she snorted both coke and heirone in the same time frame of each other . The gold watch story happens after mia almost died from Oding and scene where butch saves marcellus Wallace is the true final scene of the movie and the dinner scene happened after the get the gold briefcase and vince shooting Marvin in the face . Ya'll will notice if u watch it again that Jules isn't with when he gets pumped up by butch in the bathroom. Remember Jules tells vince in the dinner that he was retiring from being a hit man

When I first saw the movie in the theater (saw it 4 times), no one knew it wasn't the 90s until deep into the movie. The whole aesthetic is a 70s homage. Even Reservoir Dogs before this looked like the 70s.
