Happy New Year, Crusader! Here's hoping for many good, archivally minded restorations on disc in the new year and many great videos reviewing them in depth. I can't think of a better wish than that.

I have the first 10 Sanctum volumes of the Avenger novels which also appear in original publication order. Part of me wishes that they released the Shadow and Doc Savage in order as well, particularly as for the most part the earlier adventures were the strongest entries in their respective series. But on the other hand it was nice to get a good mix of the earlier and later tales to get a sense of the trajectories of the characters over the years...

@@davidosborn6714 Same here. My only complaint is that I wish they were all in chronological order.

I think the earliest figure who dawns a costume and roams the night can be traced to Spring Heeled Jack although he was a villain not a hero.

Are these easy to find?
@DamnFoolIdealisticCrusaderКүн бұрын
@@mac1701e The Adventure House individual reprints are still available but the two Sanctum volumes are OOP so you have to wait for one to pop up on eBay or possibly your local comic shop.

@ sure! adventurehouse.com/shop/product-category/adventure-house-2/replicas-ah/hero-ah/page/2/ Their magazine issue reprints are here. They also reprinted a number of phantom detective stories with some of the backup issues as part of their original high adventure magazine series.

Yes, we understand there are "cultural stereotypes" in pulps; this doesn't need to be apologized for 20 times in one video. If someone finds this offensive, they should avoid pulp magazines altogether, and only read the current Barnes & Noble bestsellers, or better yet -- not read at all.
