How to re-set a tripped off peak thermostat on a Gledhill Pulsacoil 2000.
www.miketheboi...
To summarise, turn the electricity off, take the front off and locate the off-peak (lower) immersion heater. Remove the black plastic cover to reveal the turquoise-coloured thermostat. Locate the little black reset button on the thermostat and press it in. If it latches down then it was probably tripped and you have re-set it.
Put the cover back on and if this was the fault, you will have hot water again the next morning. If you don't, the fault lies elsewhere.
If there is water present under the black plastic cover when you remove it, the heater element itself is leaking and needs to be replaced.

Thanks for this, my daytime 'boost' works but not the off peak, so I might try this fix, but one other thing I have is that none of the lights on the top left hand side of the Pulsacoil 2000 are on (despite the boost working) does this suggest that there is another problem before I attempt the fix in the video? One other thing, should the electricity be switched off when attemting the fix or does it need to be on for the fix to work?

Mike, can you tell me, with the reset button on the thermostat is it 'set' if it is flush with the plastic body or should it be recessed when 'clicked' in? It's quite small what do you use to try to reset it? Thanks!

Hi Steve, thanks for your question. Yes it's a really tiny button - I find the writing point of a Bic/Biro ball-point pen works well. When tripped, the button will be rmore or less flush with the surrounding surface. Once reset, the button will latch down and be 1-2 mm or to below the surrounding surface. Hope that helps, Mike

Have to say, I don't understand your question! What does 'going inwards from left side' actually mean? Is it dented or something like that?
