Introducing the LFO to create the 16th beat is a stroke of genius! One thing you can do to guarantee a constant 16th is to just have the sync patched to the 16 clock and as long as you're up high on the LFO freq, you'll be locked into the 16th. A bonus for doing this, is you can then fade that 16th pattern in and out by slowing the LFO down and it'll essentially no longer trigger. This also frees up up that attenuator to still control the Bass Mod, but without the 16th rhythm if you don't want to. Really dig the end jam!

I tried out your suggestion and it worked like a charm-thank you! I like having that attenuator back for other uses. Thanks for the kind words about the end jam!

Nice, Liked, Subbed. 9:50 yeah, [LFO] clock still needs to be set for speed - even when synced - whereas the SHAOS 'hard locks' and syncs as you might expect. The clocked modules [LFO], [SHAOS] & [CLOCK] all have independent clocks, there is 'no master' as Vlad would say. I notice the coin on the electron for holding [CV] pads, a good way to get an extra pair of hands. Great SHAOS patch for melody control, and the end jam was cool too man, cheers! well done! :)
@guiremcguire743
@guiremcguire743 2 жыл бұрын
Very observant about the coin! Yep, that is what I use it for, and in fact I was going to use it in this video but I forgot. I usually put it on the CV pad to hold the cello/drone sound coming from the FX unit. When I don't want the drone I just turn down the delay volume rather than remove the coin. Thanks for the encouraging words!

If a guy doesnt have any engineering background, how does one go about learning it to be able to discover these relationships? Is it just an understanding you developed from many years of knob wiggling or did you have a background or learn from a helpful resource? I am long time wiggler but have no idea about diodes or why you would ground something for an effect! Anyway, gonna rig this one up after work today haha! Blessings 🙏

Well, I have no special education or training in electronics or anything like that. What I know I have just gathered through experimentation and watching almost every Pulsar tutorial video I can find. SR Wilson’s videos are amazing and gave me lots of ideas-great guy. Also, if you have not watched Vlad’s tutorial videos on each of Pulsar’s modules, then check those out. The various written Manuel’s for Pulsar should be read as well. Have fun exploring!

The Octatrack can send consecutive 1/16th midi note gate to be read as trigger pulsar? I use Akai force but it is being read as a long sustain gate instead, maybe its due to the fact that i cant edit the midi note length
@guiremcguire743
@guiremcguire743 2 жыл бұрын
You can select midi note length on Octatrack from 32nd notes to infinite. I usually send 32nd notes and then use the release on the envelopes of the pulsar so I can dial in grooves easier. Does that answer your question? I will be doing some videos on Octatrack controlling Pulsar in the future.
