Interesting video gave me so many ideas! How did you set up both devices so the MIDI from the Digitakt controls each instrument channel of the Pulsar-23??
@SupahDupah2 жыл бұрын
Just with the learn buttons per channel... I set up on the digitakt track 9, 11 and 12 on the same midi channel with different note numbers for the sounds. And the bass channel on track 10 has it's own separate midi channel for melodic duties. Hope this helps!

Silly question, but how are you sequencing it with the Digitakt exactly? Is it sending triggers for drums and gates+cv for the bass synth? It sounds pretty complex, just wondering if there are lfos or other complex mod tools at play within the sequencer.

@@SupahDupah God damn some of the sounds you were making with the pulsar were freaking awesome man. I was thinking of getting this about a year ago, but didn't have anything to really sequence it so I decided not to get it. Now I am a proud owner of an Octatrack and with the the POWER of the Octatrack slider I'm very tempted to get this in the future. I know a quite a few people say the Pulsar is not worth its weight in music, but man I find it interesting. Normally drum machines are kind of boring to me, but not this and also the Elektron machinedrum is awesome too.
@SupahDupah3 жыл бұрын
@@ItsThatJahncke2 Yeah, it is a cool machine/universe of sound... I think it will work very well with the octatrack... never owned a machinedrum, but a friend of mine is a big fanboy of it as well... so much good boxes out there... it is all a matter of getting the sound you want... like a painter chooses it's color :)

Can the alligator cables be connected to CV patch cables coming from a eurorack?
@SandcastleTheory4 жыл бұрын
From what I understand, you can patch just about anything into the circuit, and indeed the developer encourages people to do just that; so, yes, modular CV should be fine. The connection points are protected against over-voltage. Be reasonable though, like I wouldn't go sticking a fork in the wall socket or anything. ;) Cheers!

Bit late, but yes, my Lyra and Pulsar are identical in build, height and finish. Sadly, the ‘Ornament’ I have just received is not and seems to be built differently. Granted there is far less going on inside the Ornament, but it doesn’t feel the same quality and isn’t the same finish. Perhaps most annoyingly (if you are obsessive like myself) is that the Ornament is not the same height as the Lyra and Pulsar which pains me when using them as a trio.

@SupahDupah4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is not for everyone... it has a specific sound! I like it, standalone... hopefully I can integrate the sound into my music! For example, I once had a Jupiter 4 (the most beautiful sounding synth I ever owned), but it just not fitted in my type of music. So I changed it for an Andromeda, which fitted better... still mis the J4 :(. ( ;) )
