The Bajaj NS 400 Z, launched at the NADA Auto Show 2024, is a powerful naked sports motorcycle. It features a 373.5 cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine that produces around 40 HP @ 8800 rpm and 35 Nm of torque @ 6500 rpm., paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike is equipped with fuel injection (FI) and liquid cooling for optimal performance.

Design-wise, the NS 400 Z boasts a sporty, aggressive look with a perimeter frame, 43 mm telescopic front fork, and monoshock rear suspension. It has a wheelbase of approximately 1370 mm, a seat height of around 805 mm, and a ground clearance of about 165 mm. The kerb weight is around 180 kg, making it manageable yet robust.
The NS 400 Z features include an LED headlamp with DRLs, an LED tail light, and a digital instrument cluster that provides information on speed, RPM, fuel level, and trip data. The braking system is robust with 320 mm disc brakes at front and 230 mm disc at rear with Dual-Channel ABS. Additionally, the NS 400 Z comes with multiple riding modes, including Road, Rain, Sport and Off-Road. These modes adjust the bike’s throttle response and engine mapping to suit different riding conditions. The alloy wheels are fitted with tubeless tires, and the motorcycle offers a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters with a mileage of approximately 30-35 km/l. This combination of features and riding modes makes the NS 400 Z versatile for both city commuting and spirited riding.
Among physical features the New NS 400Z get Hydroform handlebars, adjustable levers, an effective 4-way selection control switch, USB socket charger and a warning lamp switch.
Despite looking slightly small, the LCD panel is packed with features which includes a lap timer, music control, phone and message notifications, and navigation. The bike has been completely overhauled with the newest features, including switchable traction control,Slipper clutch, ride-by-wire technology.
