Woah haha, now thats some in depth criticism. I can see what you mean but that doesnt mean his new stuff is terrible? I love his old material and as for his new stuff might be something that he wants to try out.

I thought the same thing; the old stuff was very chill with strategic use of silence / blank space, very reminiscent of underground hip hop, with a lot of subtle complexity, while not being overblown full of unnecessary layers like a lot of the Holy Waters tracks. The new tracks seem to mostly be a single chord progression repeating with more and more layers until it reaches a overly dramatic fever pitch, nothing like the soft and delicate stuff from A Late Night Special and previous releases. It's really saccharine how melodramatic and overly emotionally indulgent the lyrics and compositions are. It's really disappointing- I also found that beautiful mix of the old stuff really inspiring. I think sometimes success isn't a good thing for artists unfortunately.
