Why do we need to close the(discharge) isolation valve of a centrifugal pump during startup⁉️ #pumpsolutions #pump #discharge #startup #energy #oilandgas #hazard #saftey #gas #renewableenergy techproces.com/centrifugal-pump/

Am I correct in thinking of Nozzle Pressure as Pump Discharge Pressure minus Total Pressure Loss? I think that's "upside down" from what you said, but I can make that work in my head a bit easier.

Thanks, the next few videos will go much more in-depth into this subject matter. Part 3 will go into calculating friction loss which is where most people tend to get overwhelmed. I think this will help using several parts though to take things piece by piece.

Good video, but I think some examples, plugging in numbers would have made it much better. Show some examples of the math, what's good, what's bad with numbers.

I wouldn't be able to be a pump operator. All the math involved and my difficulty when doing quick math in my head would kill me on day one of training.

Set that pump to 90 to 120 and flow that water, nozzleman will tell u if it's too much .
@Boxalarmtraining6 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately that’s not how it works. In a recent study nearly 50% of participants working a nozzle could not feel a 25% reduction in flow. The nozzleman generally is not very good about guiding the pump operator to achieve the correct PDP.
