I agree with Brighton I moved here early last year and this place is the best place I’ve ever lived and I used to live in Tenerife! The lifestyle here is just superb and so much cheaper it’s crazy. The cafes, beach walking distance the people are the friendliest and most accepting of diversity I’ve almost ever come across. I still can’t believe how under priced many homes are here. I have lived in many suburbs in Melbourne including Elwood, Kirribilli in Sydney and Brisbane and this is by far the most enjoyable place I’ve ever lived. It is the most northern suburb of Brisbane and it takes me 27 minutes to get to the inner south suburb of Woolloongabba with only a couple of traffic lights. This really surprised me, it won’t take long for this suburb to really take off.

Good decision! I moved up from inner Sydney and decided on Wynnum but was definitely considering Brighton. The bayside Brisbane suburbs are by far the way to go for lifestyle and also have such good proximity to the city!

Great advise gents. Love your content. But the Moreton bay council changed the rules so you can only build a granny flat if the land is over 1000m 2.

Thanks Loof, that’s correct, you can’t currently legally rent out the granny flat to a seperate party.

Hi champions, what are your thoughts on FNQ and specifically Townsville? It is one of the most affordable markets in Australia in respect to decent regional centers. Seems like a great PPOR option.

We are down in the Ballina area but looking at selling our home here and moving closer to family up the coast, Is Crestmead a good area for bringing up a family, we are looking for the 4 bed 2 bath brick and tile home.

We have helped clients purchase a lot of properties in Crestmead. We see great potential in the area from an investment perspective. It will be a fair lifestyle change from Ballina but at the end of the day family is everything and if your budget is capped at around 550k then I think it’s a solid option.

Can I ask if buying a property in Brisbane, do mortgage lenders look for a certain amount of wage slips before considering you for a mortgage? I am planning on moving from the Uk and would like to buy pretty soon after gaining employment. I am a nurse. Thank you

Usually 2 pay slips are required. Good luck with the move to Brissy, prepare for the heat and humidity tho!

Hey guys I am intending to buy in Narangba or Morayafield what would you choose from those two. Narangba has better schools is slightly dearer, however Morayafield has better shopping and is cheaper.

Most suburbs mentioned aren't in brisbane. Brighton qld is not in brisbane...similar to brighton in nsw is not in sydney.

Brighton in NSW is 100% in Sydney I’m not sure you understand how main cities work 😂 but Brighton Le sands is a suburb of greater Sydney
