Glad to see new videos but the style seems very different. The information comes across very clearly, and I learned new techniques from it, but your channel has a great sense of humor that I missed in this vid. Hopefully you're still going to use that humor in future videos but either way great work!

CreativeAtrophy I know what you mean. I'm trying to figure a format for these types of videos. I want to blend the theme of game, information, and fun together. I'm still figuring out how to do that. Could you tell me how you think the Palpatine video compares to this? That one was filmed differently. I'm curious to hear your feedback.

The Pumper Jones Tabletop Gaming Network If it helps you out I'd be happy to! I gave the Palpatine video a rewatch, and your sense of humor definitely comes through a lot more which I liked. I think as a result the dialogue felt much more natural than in the giant spider video, where it was more tightly scripted but felt a little dry and unnatural to me by comparison. The section on painting Palpatines face was great, especially because I always have trouble with eyes and this was a great tutorial for that and blowing up the scale really helped illustrate what was going on. Seeing them back to back I definitly prefer the music in the giant spider video, it helped the video flow better imo. I found the music in the Palpatine video distracting, but that might have just been for hobbyween or maybe I just have bad taste lol. I LOVED the thematic transitions you used with the massive darkness cards in the spider video, I thought that was a great touch. The only suggestion I can think of possibly for future videos is something that Sorastro's painting adds to his, which is to list all the paint colors and materials used in the video down in the description as well as a time stamp to all the different steps. This is extremely helpful to me when referring back later. I hope this feedback helps you out, I'm looking forward to seeing whatever other formats you've come up wirh. So far I've really enjoyed all the content that's come out of your channel and hope you keep putting out more!

I sincerely appreciate you taking the time out of your day to let me know all this. I'm going to try and implement everything you have mentioned. Most of it has (thankfully) confirmed the direction I want to take these videos (but it is still very valuable to hear it - I'm wrong often) I think you are right about including a list of product as well as chapter markers. Adding metadata isn't fun, but I can see how not having it would mitigate the utility of the video. All that said, it's going to be some time before you see the result of all this, as I still have an editing backlog. But it is my goal to get this all sorted out before I start a series about a game people actually play. Thanks again for the feedback. Have a great weekend!

Really great video! I find it really fun that the cheap craft paints you describe for the base are my main paint for years now. It's great not only for bases in my opinion :)

Coopenotte I'm thinking I'd like to show and mentiin the paint I used, but also try to refer to the colors in the generic so that they might be of more use. I'll have to expand my color vocabulary. Not buying miniature paints is a great way to stretch your money as many terrain painting people know.
@MugenSlayers7 жыл бұрын
Have you try warcolours range ? They have some great technical paint too
@PumperjonesTabletop7 жыл бұрын
Not at all. I wouldn't mind trying some artisan miniature paints one day, though! I'm also looking forward to play with pigments one of these days (Although I have no idea when)
@guglielmo8226 күн бұрын
@@PumperjonesTabletop I've bought some miniature paints to start but also have some generic acrylics. Is it foolish to use for more than just the base? I've just been experimenting diluting with water or rubbing alcohol. A little excessive alcohol actually made a nice "clumping" texture I utilized on a spider I've been doing.

Hello Pumper Jones! I'm new to the channel and this was the first vid of yours I've seen. Very impressive! What is that clay/putty you used to make your stone floor and where can it be purchased?
@jakecrowe37972 жыл бұрын
It’s called Green Stuff. You should be able to find it at a local game shop, otherwise many hobby companies sell their version online.

TheRealBlueSwan There are some mods on board game geek that seem to mitigate the problems. Although the big problem for me is that I wanted a campaign variant of Zombicide, and that is not what we got. (Not really)

Did you by any chance ever finish the Kingdom Death set that you got?
@PumperjonesTabletop7 жыл бұрын
It was actually some duplicate models from the kickstater that were a gift. I am very grateful to have them. But I took a break from painting, and I paint pretty slow. So all I've really done is stare at all that detail on the sprue. That game is so intimidating to me... And I have such a backlog... But it's so pretty... What a great hobby! Sorry if that's disappointing.
@michaellibakhansen26707 жыл бұрын
I also very intimidated by KDM. I got the survivor rewards painted and now I have painted the core KDM set. Not to mention alot of warhammer and imperial assault. That pheonix took 30+ hours alone and 10 hours of assembly. Your videos helped a great deal to accelerate my painting hobby and were very entertaining. Keep up the great work!

The Pumper Jones Tabletop Gaming Network I personally enjoy the Palatine style better, I think Josh is at his best improvising, tripping over his own words lol, and I like it when you use your trademark editing humor! This was still good though! The humor was still there, I just had to look harder haha. If y'all wanna try new stuff I'm all for it!
