Pumpkin Bun or Dinner Rolls with Cinnamon Sticks for you Halloween
Ingredients
3 cup Bread Flour
5 oz Pumpkin Puree
¾ cup Warm Milk
¼ cup Butter room temperature
½ tbsp Instant Dry Yeast 5 gram
¼ cup Granulated Sugar
½ tsp Salt more for garnish
Cinnamon Stick for garnish
Instructions
In a big bowl, combine warm milk and instant dry yeast.
Add bread flour, pumpkin puree, sugar, and salt into the bowl, then knead with your hand until the dough is smooth and elastic then add butter and knead again until the dough is not too tacky.
Proof the dough for 30 minutes or until double the size.
Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C).
Put parchment pepper into a 22 cm x 22 cm rectangular tin.
Once the dough has risen, deflate the dough, then remove the dough from the bowl and divide the dough into 6 equal portions.
Shape the dough into balls. Using a long thread, tie around the dough until it is divide into 8 parts. Do not tie the dough too tight as it will continue to rise when you bake it.
After you finish shaping the dough, place the dough into a rectangular tin, then brush milk into the surface of the dough.
Bake the dough for 20 minutes until the buns are golden brown.
After done baking, cut and pull the threads carefully so as not to damage the buns.
Brush a thin layer of butter into the surface of the buns to make them shiny.
Put the cinnamon stick into the center of the pumpkin bun to make a stem.
Pumpkin buns are ready to serve. Enjoy!
