Pumpkin Pie Candle DIY ~ Craft Klatch

No calorie pumpkin pie! Get ready for Thanksgiving with this pumpkin pie candle craft tutorial. It's a fun DIY, but it didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped! Don't know where my head is!!

that looks so yummy way back in 7th grade in art we made round "ball" candles for X-mas and we took the clear wax and an old fashion egg beater and wiped the wax till it was "light and fluffy" and spread on to the candles for "snow"

Wow when you make things with resin it is flawless you can tell that that's your strong spot, candle making is what I do best it was funny to watch you mess up and realize your mistakes because I saw them coming. If your wax was hotter you could have done the crust the first way, you just needed to act fast! Love the videos you should do more with candles.

haha...when I was really young, my cousins and I would make all types of candles! We would sell them, didn't make much $, just bought more candle supplies :) What a pretty candle you made, bet it smelled yummilious!! Have a GREAT Thanksgiving as well Mona :D

next time if you fold the top of your decorating bag over the hands that's holding it, then you'll get the wax much closer to the bottom, and you won't get it all over the sides or top.

+Magik Dust You gotta work fast with the wax. Sometimes it doesn't go that smoothly, but the stuff that sprayed around didn't stick to the pie, so all was good.

Mona another way of doing the base is pour onto a cookie sheet when at the soft caramel point cut it into a thin strip. Then as you did in the second make pour a small amount in the bottom and with the still soft strip wrap it round the base with the bottom still liquid it melts as one if the strip is over the top of the pie tin cut it down or fold it into a crimped pie edge. Looking forward to seeing it lite.

That came out awesome and looks good enough to eat. I was giggling at the foibles mostly because I do stuff like that all the time. I thought sure the piping bag wax idea would not work but I was surprised. I must remember that as I do make candles now and then.
