This duel shows the strengths of the zombie type. Zombie has all these niche floodgates and work arounds that make decks from this type so strong. Zombie is definitely one of the more interesting and creative types in Yu-Gi-Oh! Its funny to see what you can do with this.

Do floo players even run backrow removal? I play the mayakashi bone tower mill deck and watching them stop mid combo and not get Raiza out or Empen is so funny.

some do like maybe like 2 or 3 cards tops in their deck nothing makes me happier as a Zombie world player than having zombie world and banshee on board they have no out.

Technically they have unexplored winds but it doesn't work vs. zombie world.

Some builds run Feather Duster and the Trap card that can search it conditionally/negate monster effects.

FYI Zombie world is really use in TCG as a flood gate against Flu some combo deck use it as an side deck since it's really effective against Flu

Yeah, Floo has a number of ways to be disrupted. Another option is to mess with their banishing, such as with Imperial Iron Wall or a well-timed Burial from a Different Dimension on the birds. From my experience, self-banishing strategies tend to leave less room for regular grave recursion. I suppose Summon Limit is also an option. That particular card works on all Summons, not just Special Summons.

Was there anything stopping TDLDL from just Tribute Summoning Pumpking using the Barrier Statue to then Link it with Zombie Master to go into Knightmare Phoenix? Two monsters in the grave lowers the Link 3 to 2400 attack, there were 8 Pumprincess Counters live which would lower it to 1600, and Knightmare Phoenix has 1900 Attack

Both Fascinator and Sucker requires you to special summon the monster in defense position. Since you can't special summon link monsters in defense position, he couldn't summon them.
