I was about seven years old. My big sister woke me out of bed in the middle of the night when our mother was asleep and told me there's a movie on but she didn't want to watch it alone. I dragged myself into the living room and watched it with her. I remember this scene to this day. I was a chronic bed wetter, so after watching this needless to say I was not dry in the morning

@jkidd1982 hello anyway I saw Pumpkinhead at I think I was age 9 or 10 and it is one of my favorites but my number 1 favorite is The Thing (1982) directed by John Carpenter because The Thing (1982) that one scared me and disturbed me a lot more than any other horror ever has even The Thing (1982) the sounds it made were also the most disturbing and the most frightening sounds even my whole family and all of my friends are always very tough when watching horror movies but The Thing (1982) managed to do the job so we all considered The Thing (1982) the ultimate sci-fi horror movie ever created as well:).

The way the dog attacks Ed Harley and how whatever he feels Pumpkinhead reacts is really good foreshadowing to what would happen at the end of the movie because the only way to kill Pumpkinhead is if the person who conjured him in the first place kills his or herself and that’s literally the later part of the main plot of these movies every time which is still good

I'm pretty sure it was Ed Harley's own dog that bites him. The same dog seen with Ed's son when he gets run over/hit. That's one of the most chilling things---how his own dog bites him from not even recognizing its master anymore due to the conjuring of Pumpkinhead changing Ed.

@@zarc745 Well, I have to admit I haven't seen the movie, but it doesn't strike me as being terribly fast. You could still wait in bed and see if it comes into the room. It might be looking for someone else. If it does enter the room, then you sit in bed and wait for it to clear the door, then jump out of bed, roll behind it and run out of the room. With this technique you have a reasonable chance of outmaneuvering it.
