While Pumpkinhead 3: Ashes To Ashes wasnt that good of a movie, it's still better than Pumpkinhead 2 because it brought back the storyline from the first Pumpkinhead and for that I actually enjoy this wacky movie, sure it's all over the place but its an ok movie. Btw the theme is really good for this type of movie lol.

_Ashes to Ashes_ might be narratively tethered to the first film, but _Blood Feud_ is a lot more emotionally consistent. The trigger to have Pumpkinhead conjured is more justified and _Ashes to Ashes_ fails at some continuity. For example, Bunt's family appears to have changed, Doc Fraser is targeted despite no one suspecting he was involved (first film implies guilt is based on perspective of Ed), and they had Pumpkinhead go for the reverend for no reason. I also like that Ed is more sympathetic instead of being kind of an asshole like in the previous film. I just wish it had a more emotionally satisfying ending, did something more with the survivor plot thread, acknowledged the events of _Ashes to Ashes_ and didn't seem to imply it all started with Ed Harley.
