Punctuation: Using apostrophes to show singular & plural possession (KS2)

We need to know when to use apostrophes to show something is plural and when to use 's and s’ to demonstrate that something belongs to it. The rules are explained in this video.

If the apostrophe is after the "s" e.g. "The waiter ate the customers' breakfast." That means the "customers'" here is more than one person. But if the apostrophe is before the "s" e.g. "The waiter ate the customer's breakfast." That means the "customer's" here means only one person
