I was in Leicester Square, London, when Ronaldo was there for the premiere of that movie about him. The place was packed out, like it was for Star Wars or something, thousands of people (?) All jammed in to that small area and all cheering him etc. He handled himself very impressively too, and it was clear the crowd loved him, and he really appreciated it all. Both are great players (personally my favourite is Zidane, so cool, and the best I ever saw was Maradona, one man team often...)... But these two guys at the moment, and for the last ten / twelve years have been amazing, and both are loved, and both deserve it all.

Let me try to sum it up. I am a big Messi fan, my style of playing is quite similar, though I cant have Ronaldo's skill, power shots and body strength. In an all time greatests, I would put them both there. But his character is his character, and media should only judge by objective football standards, and that also is very hard, because what we like affects our judgement. Thats why all time great discussion is hard to do, sometimes you need stats but even stats are fake. Pele's 3 world cups have same value of Maradona's world cup, because you need to see their teammates and so on. At the end, this is really a team game, with a great individual imprinting. Both deserve love, Ronaldo is out and out goal scorer that has skill and is what every scout would look for he got there from hard work and dedication. Messi is just natural talent he is not molded like every other player that's played though coaches and trained from youth system to do this, this way.
