When I lived in Thane, and I wanted to go to Cuddalore. We got a train from Dadar to Pondicherry. We were to board it in Kalyan. But the train derailed on the way to Kalyan. So that was cancelled and next we got Tatkal from Thane to Cuddalore direct. But the Dadar train goes through Karnataka and takes 32 hours to reach Pondy. But the Lokmanya Tilak train goes through Andhra and took ONLY 23 hours!!!

Because pav is not used in south India traditionally and it's a staple food of western maharashtra (konkan , marathwada and desh region) and the batata vada used is similar to mysore bonda in south Indian states .
