Pune to Gondia 850 km Road Trip | Skoda Rapid | Travel

This video is about me travelling from Pune to Gondia on my brand new car Skoda Rapid. I had covered the distance of 850 km in 15:30 hours.
I enjoyed my entire journey and wanted to share will everyone.

Quick question do you think a 4 cylinder unit would have made a difference as rivals offer it so please answer.

Just to give you an idea, BS4 Petrol rapid was 4 cylinder 1.6 MPI and Honda City is 4 cylinder 1.5 ivtec. In real world, 3 cylinder 1.0 TSI beats both of them coz of inclusion of turbocharged. Other two are naturally aspirated engines. Yes, you might feel some sluggishness in bumper to bumper traffic as turbo kicks in at around 1500rpm. If one opts for automatic, this issue is also solved by the gearbox itself.

It’s okish. Not that bad as it used to be previously. Still not that pretty good. You will find good roads and then bad patches. Overall much better than 2 years back.

Jalna to Amravati is mostly two lane. Then Kohmara to Gondia two lane. Rest all 4 lane.

Hello Pranav. I was driving at 100-120 on four lane highway stretches and 80-100 on 2 lane highways.

Total fuel cost and tolls for the journey Mileage?

I didn’t calculate fuel cost but the mileage in MDI was showing around 14. Reasons behind that it’s a new car, second I didn’t check tyre pressure before leaving from pune and it was quite low at 28. There wasn’t a single toll to be paid upto Amravati. So toll was also minimal.

@@DarshGulati for long drive - full tank fuel at trusted fuel pump within city and correct Tyre pressure psi one night before the trip. That's what I plan all time

The mileage I got was around 14kmpl as the engine was new and I had not filled up air to the required level. Had my tyre pressure as prescribed, I would have got better figures.

It's Onyx MT. Overall ride quality is superb. You will enjoy this machine if you drive it. No other vehicle in this class can compare.

Amazing. Umm. On the way I filled petrol of around 7k. The car had some fuel before start and a lot of fuel was present once I reached. So, it’s difficult to conclude.
