ಡಾ|| ಪುನೀತ್ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ (೧೭ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ೧೯೭೫ - ೨೯ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ ೨೦೨೧)ರವರು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಚಿತ್ರನಟ, ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಗಾಯಕ ಮತ್ತು ದೂರದರ್ಶನ ನಿರೂಪಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ. ಇವರು ೨೯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕ ನಟನಾಗಿ ನಟನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬಾಲ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ರಾಜಕುಮಾರ್ ಅಭಿನಯದ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಲನಟನಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ವಸಂತ ಗೀತ (೧೯೮೦), ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತ (೧೯೮೧), ಚಲಿಸುವ ಮೋಡಗಳು (೧೯೮೨), ಎರಡು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು (೧೯೮೩), ಭಕ್ತ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ, ಯಾರಿವನು ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಹೂವು (೧೯೮೫) ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಟನೆಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ಪಡೆದರು. ಅವರ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಹೂವು ಚಿತ್ರದ 'ರಾಮು' ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಬಾಲ ಕಲಾವಿದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಚಲಿಸುವ ಮೋಡಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಎರಡು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಬಾಲ ಕಲಾವಿದ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು. ಪುನೀತ್ ಅವರು ೨೦೦೨ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪ್ಪು ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ನಾಯಕನಟನಾಗಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾರಂಗದ ಪಯಣ ಶುರುಮಾಡಿದರು.
Puneeth Rajkumar (17 March 1975 - 29 October 2021), colloquially known as Appu, was an Indian actor, playback singer, television presenter, and producer, who worked in Kannada cinema. He was the youngest son of Kannada matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar, He was one of the most popular actors in Kannada cinema. He was the lead in 29 films; as a child, he appeared in many films. His performances in Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahaladha, Yarivanu and Bettada Hoovu (1985) were praised.[1] He won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role of Ramu in Bettada Hoovu.[2] He also won Karnataka State Award Best Child artist for Chalisuva Modagalu and Eradu Nakshatragalu. Puneeth's first lead role was in 2002's Appu. The Karnataka Government conferred the state's highest civilian award, Karnataka Ratna, to Puneeth Rajkumar in November 2021
