I'm was thoroughly surprised by this gun. Shot very smooth, efficiency is great, grips feel awesome. Bought as a back up for my geo 4. My geo went down so I had to run my XDR at mvps for the entire tournament. I put 6 thousand shots of 5 and 4 star through it and didn't break a ball. As far as the battery port cover goes, I didn't have any problems with it coming off or anything. I've personally owned a shocker amp and I've shot 170s all the time but in that price range I would go with the XDR. Awesome gun for the price. Only change I would make to the gun is the asa knob. Curious if I could put a prime xts asa on it. All in all definitely worth the $850.

It's already been checked and verified - the XTS ASA has a different mounting pattern, so it will not work.

I think everyone is too focused on planet eclipse and DLX Luxe in the US at the moment for MacDev's to start being as popular, and to compete with them I think they aren't trying to do. Dunno haha but there should be more marketing for all PB brands right now, it's strange to me there isn't.

I think in that price range I'd go with the 170r. Actually no, that's a lie. At that price I actually bought an Emek and an Etha 2 because I design and print my own bodies for them and those are 2 of the last customizable guns on the after market.

Also having an RSX, a AXE 2.0, and an LV1, the RSX shoots great and it's quiet and smooth, super efficient for a $450-550 gun, and you can get an XLS for 550-650, which is IMO both are going to be a better gun than this no matter what. I get what they tried to do but I think it's not worth the 800, maybe 600 or 699 like the SYX but I'd get an RSX/XLS/AMP, or LV1/160r/170r over this and even my AXE 2.0 with the tech-t lp spring kit and bolt I'd take over this because the trigger location and price, and with those mods my Axe is setup super smooth and runs at really low pressure

@@___meph___4547 Yeah, used the rsx, xls, and amp have gone down in price so you can get xls's for 500 and rsx's for like 400, amps for 650+ while the amp is one of the most effecient and reliable new markers. Sp just gets hate so people don't buy then, while I reep the rewards hahaha

Out of all the copies of the Gamma Core by far this is the closet!!!! Shocker amp qev ( why they added this?? ) will go out within 5 years Shocker amp is the most prime example of a bad copy that will give you problems Dsr same story dsr+ already seeing the problems pop up on Reddit

This is in no way a copy of a gamma core. if anything it's a super simplified take on the IV core with a fixed valve chamber. The Gamma core has 4 moving parts, this has *One Moving part.*

I’m digging the XDR it’s just a pain dealing with macdevs customer service. The case shape is also really weird and really flimsy feeling to me. Still waiting on my mech frame to come in that was ordered with my XDR. Not super impressed with the barrel at all, my threads feel probably the worst I've ever felt before I also agree, I’d take the AMP (my main shooter) over the XDR for the price hands down.

No, but in my opinion and they even said it the bolt shoots alot smoother than the prime.

Is it heavier than the XTS? Just wondering due to it being smoother.

The weights will be within 1-2 ounces. I wouldn't put too much thought into the "smoothness", as the bolt assemblies function identically, with the XTS bolt itself having the superior design for "smoothness", with the extended length and vent ports as opposed to the XDR bolt that must fully decouple from the valve seal. You could probably hand both markers to 10 different people and wind up with 5 different thoughts.

@@axledog7297 Thank you for your informative response. Sounds like a case of the placebo effect.. I've only owned a Drone2 and a GTi for a short while. The GTi was smooth and quiet, but I personally prefer BL markers. I'm still shooting my 07 RL Marq and an OG Gtek/Gmek. I just keep the mech frame on the Gtek mostly and use the RL if I want to use batteries.

How's the mechanical frame? Is it easy to short stroke?
