Because it's hyper invested. At SS or lower CW's gameplay is a lot more nuanced because you actually have to think about filling up the different gauges, and using those gauges becomes a lot more important because you don't want to waste them, as opposed to the spamming you saw here.

Animations are cool but this game is so shit right now. Every gen 2 damage character is almost always immune and spamming cutscenes. Awesome game that got completely ruined because combat was literally the only thing going for it.

HI3 has the same problems. But at least that game still has a solid story and production value overall is much higher. PGR 90% of players are here for the gameplay. Whereas HI3 is more evenly spread between gameplay and story. I think every gacha hack n slash will eventually head down this path. But those that don't have gameplay as their sole attraction will have greater retention power.
