【Punishing: Gray Raven】This Could Make The Game Fun Again

PGR, in my opinion, sorely lacks an identity or something that is "uniquely PGR." While it's true that the gameplay is nice and the music is exceptional, the former doesn't often get the chance to take center stage and the latter is also true for many other gacha games in the scene. However, that might change with the inclusion of a Devil May Cry-esque mode that encourages you to be stylish and creative with your gameplay. We've already seen footages of it from the beta period and the reception has been overwhelmingly positive. This mode has a lot of potential and could potentially be what will cement PGR as your go to place for a fast paced action mobile game. Imagine this, in the future, the mode is a permanent mode, the bosses go on a rotation, you get to fight boss versions of playable characters like this Lee that you're seeing and CW Alpha, and the Devs run a monthly community contest where you upload videos of your runs. If the Devs can execute this and play to their strength, I can easily see PGR's popularity being skyrocketed.

the problem about the monthly upload runs is that people would obviously vote you or rex every time, and even if they make the runs anonymous, I doubt people would watch more than 2 runs.

They need to add more game modes that requires you to observe and interact with the boss on the screen. Weekly PPC and WZ may be fun for people that like to play around rotations and character gameplay loops, but ultimately, the opponents are just different flavors of punching bags, the only thing that matters is their hp bar. Kuro has cooked many great boss designs already, this patch is no exception, all they need to do is to give them a proper spotlight :)

It's still fun for me. 😂 Get hype every new patch. Maybe cause I'm not just focusing on the combat. I enjoy reading the story and playing the mini games every patch. 😂 Even the niche coop events like doing some stylish photoshoots. 😂 But the fast-paced boss fights sold me in PGR. 🔥 If that stylish 1v1 boss fight becomes permanent even better. 💪

They should stop making silly little minigames etc and put all their focus on characters, bosses, and permanent game modes that let us use the characters to their fullest. The only time in the past year that I got a proper fight was against that Alpha in the latest Babel, I wish we had content like that permanently available. It doesn't even have to be well balanced, just give me something sturdy enough that it doesn't just collapse when I throw gen 2 characters at it.

Kuro always loved the concept of making playable bosses. But making a playable gen2 attacker a boss... Is quite a move. But the way they nerfed him.. Ruined all the idea. It looks likes a Lucia Dawn punching bag from frozen darkness. Playable Lee is a lot, A LOT STRONGER and faster. Parrying attacks in hypermatrix?! What the hell is this? If the boss version had just a one percent of Lee's power - that would be the real deal. But this... Looks more than a joke, than a gen2 attacker boss fight. I expected more from Kuro
