People don't know the history. Chandigarh was established by acquiring the land from the farmers and people of Punjab. When the Punjab was reorganized in 1966 . Chandigarh was promised to be the capital of Punjab. But the clever and wit Congress Govt in centre, backstabbed the Punjab. Haryana was pressurised to claim over the Chandigarh as Bhajan lal was a supporter of Indira Gandhi. Even in the SYL CANAL dispute Punjabs water resources were discriminatarily given to other states ( Haryana and Rajasthan). If we apply logic and wisdom then this dispute could be solved in 10 minutes.

I do not appreciate the timing and purpose of this video. Also, how the whole matter has been portrayed . It is as if Haryana and Himachal do not want to grow and prosper but a state which already had so many developed cities at the time of division deserves everything. Haryana and Himachal also belongs to Original Punjab and yet deserves everything that comes out of Parent State within their sharing percentage. Lets say today's Punjab further divides into two parts One Eastern and One Western. Where shall Chandigarh go then ?? So is the case with Haryana and Punjab . It just North Punjab and South Punjab ( Haryana). Indra Gandhi ko kosne wale log sabse zyada Punjab k baad Haryana me hi h. That clearly shows what they truly want (Unity).

Haryana is wasting its time, energy & resources through its claim over Chandigarh. Chandigarh is in Punjab's Territory so it doesn't makes sense for Haryana to claim it. Haryana must develop ROHTAK as its new State capital with a new:- (1) Assembly & Office Spaces (2) Residential accommodations for Ministers, MLAs & Govt Officials (3) High Court (4) International & Domestic Airports Haryana must get these central institutions established in ROHTAK:- (1) IIT (2) IIEST (3) IISER (4) NLU (5) NIPER (6) NSD (7) FTII (8) PIGMER (9) SPA (10) NID This will allow Rohtak to have both new infrastructure & ideas as the new State Capital for Haryana.
