Mohit: I think you are making things very complicated for Sandra and her family (and to yourself). Except exchange of rings according to Indian culture, everything else in the engagement should be according to Sandra's culture. This way, it is easier for Sandra to organize everything. Also you and your family should dress up in French-Canadian attire and let the food also be mainly French-Canadian. This would be a way for you and your family to show appreciation and respect for Sandra's culture and wishes. In India, everything can be predominantly according to Indian culture. This way, both of you can experience both cultures effectively and it becomes much less complicated to organize. Although, Sandra is a super woman who is able to manage everything on her own, this way, it would make her life much simpler and happier.
