The Deathcharger dropped by Baron Rivendare is usable by Tauren. Under normal circumstances they cannot ride Deathchargers or Raptors, and are limited to Kodos and Wolves. This means that it is not "kinda useless" to all horde players, and neither is the raptor that will be dropped in Zul'Farrak. Tauren get the short end of the stick when it comes to mounts, making these rare mounts extra valuable to them.

Years and years back I was hanging out with a friend as she leveled fishing in the barrens as alliance. She got the one ring and gave it to me. Then in tbc I remember the 2 ring was a thing with 22 to all stats. Good stuff.

Fun fact. The oozeling was used early on to push more detrimental debuffs off your characters debuff table and had the ability to cheese certain boss mechanics because of this.

God thank FUCK somebody mentioned this. Was about to type it myself. I was sad he didn't mention the former bug/exploit with the oozeling. It was also super redonk in PVP as you could make it so no debuffs would "stick" to you because you filled your debuff slots

I farmed Hyacinth Macaw for a very long time during WotLK. On the Cata pre-patch launch, I had racked up over 20k kills on pirates. Within a week of the pre-patch landing, my friend had it drop from a random enemy in STV. He was lovely and donated it to me probably to stop me from throwing my laptop off a building.

I had the Disgusting Oozeling back in the vanilla wow. You could throw pints of beer at it which the boozeling would drink. Also after few patches Blizzard too the oozeling aura off but added bubbling sound effect which would drive people on the raid crazy. Total silence then suddenly... bubbling.

I had been playing WoW for a while. I remember I started dating my now Wife during the days of AQ40. She had never played a game like WoW before. I got her into it and while leveling in STV she got a Hyacinth drop. It stood out to her because it was her first pet. We were not living together at the time so she was playing and had it drop. She pulled it out - ran around for a little bit and then sold it to a vendor. Later that night she told me (as if I didn't know there were pets like this in the game) that she was doing a quest and kill pirates in "Booty Bay" and had a bird drop. My eyes got huge instantly... She paused in her story, looked at me puzzled. "Can I buy it back after I sold it?" she asked. I died. 100% a true story. I'll never forget this moment. LOL She is lucky she's great or I don't think we would have made it past this moment.

Had the macaw on my undead warrior after grinding goblin rep, after becoming exalted with blood sail buccaneers, and I didnt realise the 1 ring was rare. Had many of the 1 rings drop, always thought it was trash tbh so I'd vendor them😖. Now the death reigns I farmed even in WOTLK. Never even got it then. I'd farm on my dk for hours a day, so frustrating lol

The only time I ever saw a Teebu's drop was in 2006 during the opening of Ahn Karaj off the outdoor raid bosses that were part of the event. And I ran alot of dungeons to help people and their alts get attuned for stuff like Onyxia, BWL, MC, and farmed the dungeons for rare flask and tailoring patterns like Robes of Faith and flask of supreme power

So check it out. I was grabbing a Songflower buff the other day in Felwood, right before an Onyxia run. This ooze aggroes me right as I finish nabbing the buff, so of course I Mortal Strike it into oblivion. Ooze drops a ooze-covered bag, which in turn drops a Disgusting Oozling. Just unbelievable. Never would've attacked the thing had it not aggroed. I even had a Summon ticking on me to bring me to Dustwallow.

Probably my best drop was the star belt tailoring pattern, it creates a unique t-mog belt and wowhead lists a grand total of SIX drops ever and I have never seen anyone else with the pattern. You can see it on my toon Zodlike Uldaman. I've gotten several oozelings [cave in winterspring (Mazthoril) is a good place as there is also a chance for the whelpling and rare t-mog items, (kill the Dimentional Ooze)] and I've also found the the macaw, but I would say the black tabby for ally is harder to get, you used to be able to kill thousands of hill stags as they ran in a large group (Hillsbrad Foothills) and would instantly respawn to get the cat easily but that exploit was fixed during Cata.

2 things I'd edit in this... first Gnomes are halfling not dwarfs lol. Second, the disgusting ooze is super valuable for AQ 40 C'thun depending on the patch they put in for it. You can use its debuff to override C'thuns stomach acid.

Teebus also can come from Heavy Junkboxes that rogues can pickpocket off of lvl 50+ mobs.

10:30 3% chance to drop is definitely off. That may be the current drop rate from the bags themselves but since the bags are fairly uncommon the drop rate ends up being more like 0.01%-0.1%

Forgot to mention that people used to actually farm the Oozeling as a BiS raid item. Why? How? Well, during the C'thun fight he randomly teleports people inside his stomach, and once in his stomach you get a nasty stacking nature damage DoT. However, if you summon and resummon the Oozeling over and over you will eventually drop the DoT debuff due to all the Oozeling Aura's you apply to yourself, meaning you can completely cheese the stomach part of the fight. Probably won't work in Classic though!

I played vanilla when it first came out 15 yrs ago... I stopped playing the last 12yrs. I recently restarted playing and intro'd my husband to the game. Low and behold the mount dropped from Rivendare and my husband got it. We were playing on retail so he was able to trade it to me and now I own one of the rarest mounts in the game. I think deathchargers reigns is .02% or like 1/5000. The 1% rate is from a later expansion, maybe TBC or Wrath. I farmed it pretty easily at 1% in Wrath, dropping 50:1 on the older droprate. (On average you'll get it 50 times @1% as someone gets it once @ .02%)

the oozeling actually broke the game because at one time ppl were macrospamming to summon/dismiss re summon etc. etc. the pet to pretty much cancel raid boss debuffs...this was patched out later but for example u could pretty much make the c'thun stomach acid debuff disappear in a matter of seconds with the oozeling macro and a looot of other nasty debuffs.

heh Baron mount. Farmed it in wotlk pre patch. ofc it was buffed to 1 to 100 drop rate I think, but It was soloable as paladin easily and soloing it racked good amount of gold each run.

I got the disgusting oozeling in vanilla like 11 kills after starting the farm. I was a MT and sometimes during raid fights I would summon it to give myself the debuff and watch everyone try to cleanse it. Pretty funny. It would also chase thrown beers from BRD and drink them.
