BOB MARLEY Song One Of The Best Punky REGGAE SONG'S OF All Time 🇧🇯🇮🇹🇯🇲🇬🇼😄😃😀🇮🇩🇲🇱🇧🇧🇵🇸😅😆😊🇫🇷🇧🇩🇬🇾🇯🇵😄😃😀🇧🇷🇧🇴🇧🇳🇧🇲🇭🇺

The backing band wasn't the Wailers. Marley Wiki says: Lineup: Bob Marley, lead vocals, rhythm guitar Richard Daley, bass Angus "Drummie Zeb" Gaye, drums Michael "Ibo" Cooper, keyboards Stephen "Cat" Coore, lead guitar Aura Lewis, backing vocals Candy McKenzie, backing vocals Just saying to give them the credit they deserve.

I read in an interview with Boris Gardiner that Marley didn't like the original drum and bass session recordings of this track and asked Perry to "fix it". Perry then called on Gardiner himself and Sly Dunbar who re-recorded bass and drums respectively.

U got it RIGHT This was when Ska/ Bob had left JA. after the shooting up at 56. The WAILERS was not in England THEN. Scratch was always SKA/ Bob's guru.SKA/ Bob loved SCRATCH ROOTS VIBE. I always saw this when he was at the BLACK ARK.
@ikongchin30882 жыл бұрын
@@juniordamatah this is also true as Boris played a lot of bass as 1 of the original UPSETTERS. BORIS was a tough bass PLAYER I knew him from he had his group THE RYTHEM ACES and I had the JAMAICANS SINGING GROUP

Yes. Even if the 12'' wich picture is featured on the vid mentions «bob marley & wailers» the backing musicians were from Thirld World (?) -According to wikipedia- and its a fact members of Aswad for sure...read somewhere the Meditations made some of the backings too.

Sly Dunbar on drums, Val Douglas on bass, done at Joe Gibbs Studio, then all other tracks were re-done on top of this bass-and-drum for this final product, after Scratch had "tried" with Aswad, Third World, and Boris Gardner.
