the difference are as follow: PMA was created long ago in 1940s (not sure), while PNPA was created in 1978 and patterned with PMA training program. PMA grads are trained to lead in military, while PNPA grads in law enforcement.. PMA grads with a Bachelor's degree in military science (BSMS) while PNPA grads will be conferred with Bachelor's degree in Public Safety (BSPS).

both service academies have a four year regimented training. both both have drills and ceremonies (as what is being portrayed in you video, we call that fancy uniform as the GALA uniform, the PMA has a gray and dark brue color, while PNPA is maroon and gold). PMA grads are directly commissioned as 1st lieutenant while PNPA grads will be commissioned as Police inspectors or a corresponding rank of 2nd lieutenant ..both are trained to become leaders..

one thing though, you guys failed to portray in video the PNPA, want you keep on showing in the video is a loop of PNP personnel in a formation (which i think is a preparation for a flag raising ceremony), while you portray the PMA with a video of PMA cadets in formation. i think this created a wrong perception for the majority of the public. i hate to say this but many filipino people etill dont know that the PNPA is much like the same with the PMA in terms of how they live their cadet lives..

This is the reason why the training of PNPA cadets should not be based or a copy of the military training in PMA. Tanghaling tapat nagma-martsa ang kadete na parang sundalo ano ba yan! Dapat baguhin ang curriculum ng PNPA at alisin ang mga subjects o training na purely military oriented.

kung sa pagalingan lang po wala tayo dapat ikumpara, dahil sa totoo lang po mas magagaling ang mga lolo natin sa INP noon, kasi puro totoo at aktwal na ang trabahong pulis, di kamukha ngayon pagalingan sa papel, ahanhin mu ang ganun kung di naman kaya lutasin ang isang kaso, di po ba?

PNP can be traced back from the PC (Philippine Constabulary) which then is a part of the AFP together with Philippine Army, Philippine Navy and the Philippine Airforce, thats why most of the High Ranking Officers ng PNP ay from the PMA kasi naging part ng PC and AFP at ang PC ang pinanggalingan ng PNP.
