Nothing like a new vid to remind us how breathtakingly flat Saskatchewan actually is! Love seeing little Rookie. She's such a cutie. Plain old butter cookies are my favorites! Love your posts , Neline.

Norwegian Butter Cookies 1 cup butter, 1/2 cup powered sugar, 2 cups sifted flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 cup chopped pecans, 1 teaspoon vanilla. Make into balls 1" or less in diameter. Chill in refrigerator on cookie sheets overnight. Bake in 350 degrees oven for 7 mins. Rool in powered sugar while hot. Love the calves! They are adorable.

My favorite cookies are Christmas Sugar Cookies with cream cheese frosting which my wife makes me them year round, she just uses a different cookie cutter and different color frosting color for each season. I like them best in the freezer then take one out to eat and it just melts in your mouth. Cream: 2 cups sugar, 1 cup butter (softened), 1 cup shortening. Add: 3 beaten eggs, 1 tsp salt. Sift: 5 cups flour, 1 tbl baking powder, pinch of salt. Mix all ingredients together. Bake at 375' for 10 min. Frosting: 3/4 a 32 oz. bag of powdered sugar, 6 oz of cream cheese (softened), 2 tbl. of butter (melted in microwave), add milk to your desire of consistency. Makes around 7 dozen.

Mom used to make sugar cookies, shortbread cookies, chocolate coconut cookies and a mini marshmallow chocolate logs with cherries. While there are no bad cookies I still cannot get through the holiday season without making a few cheese balls. The only problem is I eat them almost as fast as I make them! This recipe has been in our family for over 50 years. 2 8oz cream cheese, 1 8 oz sharp cheddar grated, 1 Tbsp each chopped fine green pepper, onion and pimento. To taste 1 to 2tsp worcestershire sauce and a little pepper. Let cheese come to room temp and mix well by hand in a large bowl then add the rest of the ingredients and mix again. Divide mixture in half and drop each onto some plastic wrap. Shape into a ball or log and chill wrapped in plastic wrap for an hour or two. Then unwrap them and roll in some fine dried parsley with the chopped nut of your choice mixed in. Last time I used home made everything bagel mix and that was great. Keep them wrapped in the fridge, the flavour gets better after 4 or 5 days if they last that long! Enjoy.

Thanks for all the time and work you give to produce the videos I so enjoy watching . It’s hard to choose 1 cookie, but I would likely say shortbread. 1 cup softened butter, 3/4 cup icing sugar, 1 3/4 cups flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder. In a large bowl, cream the butter thoroughly. Gradually add icing sugar. Sift the remaining ingredients and add to butter mixture, mixing well. Roll onto lightly floured board to about 1/4-inch thickness. With a sharp knife or cutter, cut into shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes for 2-inch cookies and 15 minutes for smaller cookies. Cookie edges should be light brown.

I don’t bake Christmas cookies but love eating them 😂 Love seeing the fresh snow just makes everything look beautiful. We do get snow here in Scotland but not nearly as much as you guys. The sound of the snow crunching beneath the feet sounds just amazing especially when it’s fresh . Beautiful when your looking out the window but a nightmare to travel around in and even worse working in it. Must be difficult sometimes to get motivated when it’s so cold. Great video as always 👍

It’s nice and sunny -4 here in Guelph Ontario 🍁 Canada 🇨🇦 Nov 3,2024. I think we all have put our tongue on a cold fence or pole but we did it once. So hopefully she learned her lesson silly dog. Shortbread it’s a comparable recipe but the whipping of a real good quality butter is the secret. My dad would make his famous in our family lol Christmas cake but it took weeks to make and was expensive to make but it was so rich you would only need a small piece. It would sit on the counter and he would open it everyday and brush a good brandy on all sides and every time he passed by his pride and joy lol he would turn it. Anyone that said I don’t like Christmas cake would say my dad’s was the best ever. When we say we made it with love that would be understatement.

My grandmother's sugar cookies are my favorite. Sorry, I don't have the recipe. My grandmother taught me to make gingerbread many years ago, while not cookies it remains my favorite dessert, warm with a dollop of whipped cream. The landscape footage reminds us that Saskatchewan lies at the bottom of an ancient ocean that rose up in the upheaval that gave us the Rocky Mountains. The wind blows unchecked. Your brother promoted your channel is the reason I viewed and subscribed to yours.

Grandma didn't do cookies.. She went all in with boiled raison cake.. it had what must have been every grain under the sun in it blended with a tanker full of molasses.. topped with Brown sugar icing.. i can only describe it as like watching a pack of lions feed on a fresh kill.. just guessing at the recipe as my aunts guard it like those dudes at Buckingham Palace................. btw.. for those who have never experienced it.. You know it's cold when the snow squeaks.. omg.. just checked.. a chinook is blowing +4 C at 5 am on the 3rd of Dec here in Grande Prairie.. That'll be fun.. we did have over a foot of snow.. rip dry bedding Neline.. plus side.. your fall seedlings should have a crazy amount of moisture in the spring

Hello Nadine how far are you from Swift Current. Funny you say inches me to but Canada is metric. Have a great day.
@RealLimerickman13 сағат бұрын
Thankfuly, Long, long, long away from you. In Ireland we use inches, foot for height for snow depth and peoples height too, despite the metric system here.
@asquithmainlines69912 сағат бұрын
I am Canadian and when they say we are going to get 15 cms I still have to convert it to inches so I can picture it. I think it is because we still use feet and inches for building so it is easy to picture 6 inches. My Dad had family in Swift Current when I was young we spent a lot of time there. I saw my first turtle in the creek there. Dad always called it speedy creek!😅 Asquith is about 2 hrs. 40 minutes from you straight up Hwy 4 to Biggar and then 30 Kms east on 14. I was there this spring when CP 2816 went through.
