I like how some people claim the piano isn’t hard. Yeah, it isn’t if you play Ed Sheeran and shit. But using one instrument to resemble a whole orchestra? That is mastering your piano. I love this!

He doesn't have to just resemble the whole orchestra, either. He has to do that _without_ music.

Wow. An entire orchestra on a keyboard. Can you just imagine all those different instruments and voicings swirling in his head and then being manifest through his fingers?!! He deserves a standing ovation. Those people sitting do not seem to have understood what they've just heard.

Having lived in NYC for 40 years, hearing the best orchestras, solo artists, opera performances, etc...I was always amazed at how people would hear heavenly music and then just sit on their butts! I came to the conclusion that they were either snobs or morons.

Honestly, I find this ridiculous. If people are letting such mundane things such as coughing ruin their enjoyment of really good music, maybe the music isn't inspiring them as much as they claim it is. We ignore the mistakes made by the pianists because they are human and not machines, and their playing is beautiful regardless of any mistakes they make. This music is amazing and people coughing doesn't change that at all.

Ma Vlast has always been one of my favorite tone poems to listen to. When I was teaching school back in Detroit many, many year ago, I used to play a recording of the Moldau in my English classes and explain the story line of the life of the river and have my students write write a paper on what they heard in the music. Some their descriptions were very unique and creative.

You know - these days so many people get fooled by so called patriotism. But its only an poor excuse for degrading people from other countries. Smetana created an beautiful masterpiece of music to show how lovely and gracefull his land is. And that is the only form of patriotism i can truly feel. Imagine how beautiful ist would be - to express the love to a nation not in degrading other nations but in creating music that truly touches the heart of many.

Truly breathtakingly heart pounding. For the last 45 years I have yet to be so moved by any classical piece since discovering. The Maldau. This gentleman has done great homage to a Smetana. By the last 30 seconds I wanted to stand up as I heard those last few clangs of the cymbals which were physically absent but felt in the beating of my heart and halted my breathing. As quoting another comment..."those present aren't fully aware of what they had just experienced".

2021: Musicians perform”Moldau”in courtyard as you enter the Square. It’s a real grand Celebration when you hear the live music as you enter the Prague Castle. It has its own Two Tour-Eiffel Towers in Prague as well as artists such as the”Munch Museum”. See the Atomic clock in the Square near the bridge. It’s a lovely country.
