We’re on our 3rd whippet. Never, never off the lead unless enclosed by a fence. Their prey drive is so strong that they’ll go off after a deer or whatever regardless of recall training.

Aw amazing, how exciting! Originally we bought quite a large crate but in the end he settled and slept better in a smaller one. The one we have now is from Pets at Home, it’s the medium size one so will last till he’s fully grown too, think it’s currently on offer. It’s the perfect size for him, it’s sturdy and has a secure door. Hope that helps x

Hi he is lovely but far too thin. It is a fallacy that whippets should be so thin. That is why he is not wanting morning walks, too cold. Whippets need coats, even in the spring and protection from the sun in summer. I am a whippet person and my rescue whippets had pancreatitis which left them skinny and with bad tummies. How are his poos? He def needs more food plus wet food if poss as whippets don’t drink much. This is not a criticism just want to mention. I can see he has a very loving home, lucky boy. X❤️

I have three whippets , I am sorry to say you’re whipped is not looking so good. I suggest your whippet was starving as a little pup.
