I'd guess it would depend on different conditions. The biggest issue would be how much oil is infused in the resin shakuhachi cast.Oil is common if not a necessity in most Plastics. Plastic and epoxy are pretty impervious to moisture, so other than chemical composition, bonding issues over time would be extreme temperatures, which wouldn't be a factor in general use. Keep in mind this is cheap plastic instrument not really meant to be a permanent life long instrument (ironically, plastics can take a lifetime to break down).
