That is not the way allaudin khan taught my father! Listen to any khamaj by Ali all Akbar khan, pandit Ravi Shankar, vasant Rai, ashish khan of nikhil banerjee, and you will see what I am referring to. So learn the doctrinal material of the rag but be judicious in the excessive embellishments.
