Very nice. Must be wonderful playing those thru a BigSky or RV500. Replace the op amps (U/L & phones) of the output stages with a more recent chip and the DAC with the KP version of the PCM54. You'll be amazed.

Hi Isolate, your patches sound great! I use Roland Cloud to play the D-50 (I don't own the hardware synth). Is there a way to utilize your patches there? Further, have you looked into selling your patches as a D-50 pack within Roland Cloud? Thanks.

I want to purchase but have a couple of questions. Can the file be downloaded to a MAC or do I need to use a Windows based PC? My PC is Windows 7 operating system, will that work? I have used old school RAM cards and the Alesis Data Disk for sound transfers with the D-50 in the past, and have never saved synth files to a computer. What type of USB cord do I need to export/import the sounds between the D-50 and computer?

Hey mate. thanks for watching. I mostly start out with an initiated partial and use the D50's onboard buttons - which are well and truly worn now, to program the sounds. I have never used software or have the luxury of a PG1000. However, I'm going to have to get inside my D50 soon because some of my buttons have stopped working unless I press very hard!! Had this synth since 1991. Thank you so much for your comment.

Hey there. You are right. The Roland D50 only has a memory space for 64 sounds so when ever you bulk dump a bank of sounds to the synth, it will wipe off what was there originally. This is where connecting your D50 to a pc is handy, because you can store all your previous sounds to the pc and recall them whenever you want.

No mate. Ive almost destroyed the buttons on my D50. I;m pretty speedy when programming it but had to buy a D-05 ans use that - which does slow down the speedy programming but at least the buttons are working!!

@@jessihawkins9116 Yes, had my D50 since 1991 and the first time I got it out of the box, I started trying to program my own sounds. Took long but I got it and could fly over the buttons quickly. Wear and tear over the years has meant most of the buttons hardly or don't work!

Fukk you, this man is a godsend for making these. Program your own sysex patches if you don't like them. I just spent 2 weeks downloading hundreds of 3rd party custom preset banks and testing every single one out and his are way better than 90% of them. I plan on buying this pack when I get my next paycheck. His overuse of Vangelis is what has me sold. As someone who's tested out hundreds of patches and who is experienced in programming my own, I can assure you that his patches have a sound that is VERY difficult to coax out of a D50. Most peoples patches are pretty predictable because they just tweak parameters to boring factory patches like "metal harp" or something. And you can TELL. These patches sound VERY unique. You can tell they were made from Raw linear synthesis from scratch, which takes a lot of time and experimentation and a lot of vision, especially vision.
