Purchasing the Seishin Okinawa Edition Gi

I have both the Okinawa and the regular version. I can honestly say I like the Okinawa edition way better. Feels so great to train in it. Like wearing a pyjama, but with the sharpest look a gi can have.

I have been very happy with the Okinawa edition as well. It's very comfortable and dries super fast. I need to finish the review between the Seishin Okinawa edition the Shureido New Wave 2. I had hoped to complete it almost two years ago but due to most dojos being closed during Covid much of my training was done in regular sports clothes and not a gi. But I will get the review done. Stay tuned for that.

@@daniel-j-harris the Okinawa version isn’t 100% cotton but a blend. It’s softer and more comfortable. Big advantage of the regular one is that the gi is more snappy.

How tall are you and what size did were you trying on? I'm 6'1" and got the 185cm and it seems bigger than I expected.

Hello Christopher, I am just barely 6'0 and I bought the 185cm. Seems to fit okay but I have not started to train in it yet. What are your thoughts on the Seishin? Do you have any other gi's that you recommend?

@@okinawakaratepodcast after washing it and a low heat dry it shrunk down a bit a fits a lot better so feeling satisfied. My past gis were all cheap and are very old now. One was a Century and another was some other odd brand. Those is from 10 yrs ago and older. I have a bjj gi from Gracie. I just got this Okinawan edition Seishin because Jesse Enkamp was running a discount for it. Hoping to get back into a class soon. I don't know about other brands except that Tokaido and Shureido are top names.

@@christophernealey7395 That's good to hear. I buy my gi's one size big just so I am not worried about putting them in the dryer. Actually, I usually wash and dry once before I even wear for training just to get the shrinkage done with right away.

Very good. I am thinking to get me this Seishin Okinawa Edition because i am starting with Shorin ryu Karate here in the Netherlands. Would like to hear the opinions of more experienced Karate practitioners. I am 1,95 and so i am unsure to get 200 or 195.
