Purdue AAMB Returns from Practice - Sept 14, 2012

Purdue All-American Marching Band Return from Practice 14 Sep 2012. Every Friday before a home football game is Gold Day for the Purdue AAMB. After a two-hour practice, the band marches down 3rd St from Hull Practice Field to the Elliot Hall of Music. All kinds of crazy stuff happens on this march, and I was lucky to be in the right places alongside and in the band, catching more than usual. Robert Altman and Michelangelo Antonioni watch out.
Of particular interest is the wind section playing with just their mouthpieces (a big kazoo orchestra) at 5:15, and the Tuba Cadence ("Oh my god, my shoulder hurts...") at 6:30. I may have an older video of the seldom-performed march through the parking garage, but this particular return march did not include it.
