That is one I will watch again because I believe someone said they had been recording as a group. Also Tae mentioned, of course, 13 tracks for his mixtape and said he feels very tied to a narrow range genre wise so expect a lot of jazz and R&B type songs from it. Also JK changing his hashtag to #JJK! 😳 Don't even get me started on his hair and his doe eyes and his singing on Vlive! Heart attack! But yes, the BE-hind video is fascinating as they mostly talk about their own musical processes and futures in music and they are all so different. They are also humble enough to share credit with any member who has helped with anything and emphasize that team dynamic that works so well for them. I did lmao when Jimin said our youngest member and RM said Jungkook, then Jimin said it again and RM said oh, Jin. LOL. I know they weren't being snarky, just like when Jimin told Yoongi on Unplugged that Telepathy made it on the album because he, as project manager, approved it. Again, not in a snarky or superior way. I swear all 7 of them and their lighthearted bickering remind me of my sons when they were young.

RM said that he "cried a lot" writing MOTS 7 and to be honest, I would have been shocked if it WASN'T really emotional. Black Swan, for instance, means a lot personally. As an artist (multimedia, fibre-arts focus) there is NOTHING more terrifying to me than dying my "first death" and no longer being passionate about or able to do what I love, and I swear every time I look at the lyrics I start tearing up because for BTS, the group that has touched me emotionally in so many ways, to call out this feeling all creatives get is just- The Art Film definitely needs watching (starts off with said Martha Graham quote), because the orchestral arrangement of the song (as heard in their MMA 2020 performance) is the most gorgeous thing. All our dreams were fulfilled with their MOTS ON:E concert because Jimin did a solo performance to the orchestral after they danced to the song as a group. Really, every single performance of this song is worth watching (imho), from the first one on The Late Late Show, to the BTS Week one on The Tonight Show, to award show season. A warning though; their stylists had a phase because for almost every one, at least one member is wearing a sheer top. The release of this MV was, in and of itself, a black swan event: comes as a surprise (released without warning at midnight KST), has a major effect (most of us will probably never recover), and is often rationalized after the fact with the benefit of hindsight (because despite having a release schedule for 7, BigHit thrives on randomly releasing stuff whenever they feel like it). The video where BTS watches it for themselves is really fun, if only because they were basically acting like ARMY for most of it and fanboying over Jimin, as is the Bangtan Bomb of the behind-the-scenes for Jimin's solo dance bits. He was Suga's shadow (J-Hope was RM's). Something I really love about them is that they recognize when something especially fits a particular member's niche and really play it up; with this, they KNEW contemporary is Jimin's "thing" (not sorry for that) and took full advantage of that, giving him the overall spotlight in the choreography and making so much of the MV just him dancing. Yes, his wings were CGI, but DAMN if they didn't do an amazing job with the sound of them unfurling and the way the feathers ruffled. Also, special recognition to, again, their stylists and whoever decided to put Jimin and Jungkook in corsets - and the fact that he Danced. Like. THAT. Wearing it?! The dance was choreographed by Brazilian-born choreographer Sergio Reis, and finally: stop as MUCH AS YOU WANT. The insight we get to hear from you is more than worth it.

You probably saw the 'ballet' performance they did during MMA 2020, but Jimin's solo during the ONE concert was absolutely mesmerizing. You should definitely check that out. Someone probably uploaded it by now although Big Hit did warn viewers of the virtual concert not do do so.

They were able to capture Jimin’s moves better and you could genuinely feel the struggle to escape the ocean floor through his movements.....I was in tears for that one.....of course I cried a few times during those two concerts lol!

@@YouandMe14 Yes, they did a Black swan performance and at the end the other members left the stage and Jimin did an amazing solo dance performance to the orchestral version which drew you in completely and literally left you breathless. This was during their online ON:E concert last October. There is a video of this performance, if it wasn’t pulled and there is a behind the scene performance which is great but just doesn’t have the same impact. Definitely worth your time!

I think other art forms excite them and inspired their songs so it’s like a dedication to art in general and also sharing things that inspired them to army as you know lots of army went to the exhibition as it was free

@@YouandMe14 yeah RM loves going to museum and I love how they share these moments with ARMY makes the whole experience of listening to their music more personal and I also love how they are honest just like the song pied piper about feeling guilty taking money from Fans so they decided to launched a campaign together with the album to use those passion of army to a more positive and bigger impact. I think BTS makes art tangible they don’t just express feelings of worrying in losing passion in music instead they take action and help promote other artists that inspired them so things feel so real I’ve never experience anything like this from musician.

Always enjoy your reactions! As others have already pointed out, you missed the ending of the video. One thing you may have noticed about BTS’s music videos is they often have a unexpected added piece at the “end” of their videos. You need to watch each one to the very end as these post clips usually give added meaning to the whole video’s concept. An especially good live Black Swan performance was their very first on James Corden’s Late Late Show. It’s iconic.

I have so much shit I could say about this song and MV, I'd never stop talking again ... And also - I totally get your envy of people who have a passion, it truly is a curse and a blessing. That's why I really love Suga's 2018 new years wish for everyone to be able to follow their dreams and be successfull, and that it's okay if you don't have a dream, and in that case to just be happy, "Start the year happily, be happy throughout the year and until the end of the year happy." Another masterpiece from BTS, completely agree. They are true artists and luckily they share their art with us 💜💜💜 This was one of the first videos I watched when I started looking into them and since it was last year they had a lot of articles about the Map of the Soul: 7 album, I came across some comments online saying how pretentious and try hard they are 🙄 I am always amazed at their honesty, the sincerity I find in what they decide to share in their music and in their other media content, like their interviews and album notes, they are very open and sharing in their public lives and of course they have their private lives as well, but I don't think many artists are as open and vulnerable as they are. I am sometimes conflicted as a fan about the constant filming, like you mentioned the line in the song "film it now". This openness is a part of who they are and how they grew to be as succesful as they are, so the pressure to keep sharing is there and we as an audience keep watching and wanting more, they started their careers with this strategy while being so young and must be used to it but being a private person myself, I could not imagine it, lol, it could also be generational, as I am older than them and didn't grow up with a cellphone phone and camera in my hand, deep stuff.

Yeah, I think the world really changed in the last 20 years or so, especially regarding technology. Even I sometimes feel like I constantly have to be switched "on" when I'm online and there are so many services you can use now which is wonderful on the one side because it helps you connect to people and share information. But the internet definitely has it's dark places and sometimes it feels overwhelming. So I can't imagine what it must be like for them who are in the public eye constantly. I guess it has good and bad sides like everything.

Make sure you watch the last few seconds of this MV! :) There are two behind the scenes making of for this MV, there's one for the whole MV and one specifically for Jimin's dance. There is also a full contemporary dance piece that Jimin did during their Map of the Soul ON:E online concert, you should watch. None of this has to be with "us", mind you, I just think you'd enjoy watching them. :)

I understand. Sometimes I also feel like I should have a "dream", something to passionately strive for, but you can't force these things. Maybe it isn't too bad to just live life and be attentive towards what comes your way. Some people know what they want to do from a very young age, some people kind of "fall into it" and some people never find an equivalent I think. I don't think one thing is worse than the other, but I still admire people who have passion for something to the degree that it brings a huge chunk of meaning to their lives. As passion isn't something you can force, I think those of us who don't know what they want to spend their time and energy on will just have to try out loads of different things. Who knows, that passion might appear somewhere along the way 💜

Hey you. Nice reaction. I found a lot of the dance moves very swan-like as well. I had always puzzled over "film it now" and I heard one reactor say that maybe it's literal, film me while I am still able to do this. It really is a masterpiece. I think you would enjoy all of the making of videos for this. There is one for Jimin's part alone and one humorous one with V singing opera and all of them just goofing around. There used to be one about the location but I can't find it anymore. I think it was in Los Angeles. Oh, you did miss the last bit of the video. I'm not exactly sure of its meaning, either.

The art film by MN dance company (i think they’re finish or Swedish?) to the orchestral version is absolute favorite! I ugly cried after watching that one. It was so different from anything they have ever released and the main dancer was so talented that it really brought out all the emotions out of me. They actually released that one months before this official MV so everyone was so surprised when they dropped this bomb on us unannounced.

I see many recommending the Art film version of the song .. personally, I did not love it and I only started listening to this song after they released this version .. Is one of my favorite songs because of the theme, about love for their art and I love arts, music, dance, plastic arts, cinema, but just a consumer:) (they made another video for this, with a contemporary dance company) And as you said, cause it's about knowing who you are, loving what you do, finding a purpose in life,... Something that I still struggle with at my 40 years old.
