@@TeddyGreyOS actually just a few days ago in the last day of Agust D "D-DAY" Tour concert. In the end of the show, Suga walked through that Amygdala door while saying goodbye. Back info His World Tour has a total of 28 concerts. And every end of his show he won't bother saying bye and just directly exits the stage. We just think it's kinda cool. But after his last concert we finally understand why. His music is honestly a masterpiece and at the same time a therapy. The reason why he can't open the door is because he's not healed yet from his scars and trauma. So when he exited through that door at the end of the concert, it's basically like him saying he's healed now. Lastly, if you don't know, the 7 members of BTS have the number 7 engraved in their flesh. And it's only Suga who never revealed where his tattoo was hidden. But at the end of the last concert, he finally revealed it. It's in his left shoulder. It's the shoulder where he had a surgery because he dislocated his shoulder due to that incident shown in Amygdala video.

My interpretation of the ending is that when you went through something so traumatizing, part of you would be left in that memory. No matter what you do, no matter what you want, you are permanently changed by those events. It doesn't mean that there's no hope or giving up. It just means that you recognize the impact of the past and how it changed you.

After watching the music video again more closely with everything in mind, I think you’re absolutely right about the ending. I just hope that he is comfortable with that decision, if he could see the version of him on the other side screaming for help, would he try a little harder to break the door down and begin a healing process to accept his past to nurture his present self? I suppose only his future songs can answer these questions! I love that after watching it once I had one idea, now I’ve seen it a few times I think completely differently about it. I wonder how I’ll feel when I go back to it again 🤔 Tracks like this are absolutely TIMELESS in my opinion and I’m really glad I checked it out! It’s made me want to do the whole album 😭

I agree. I see the rain as a symbol of relief or cleansing that the understanding brings. So many people who have PTSD/complex PTSD often feel like there's something innately wrong and broken about them...but when the nervous system is understood, it makes room for some self-compassion. Not that the parts have to be completely healed to feel better about ourselves, but that some compassion for the pain can be felt.

It is music which saved Yoongi and it is also music which Yoongi lives for. Suga had the hardest life (pre-debut) out of all the members. At 13, he started writing lyrics and learned MIDI by himself. His first love is the piano or music in general. (He made a song about his piano entitled "First Love") who he described as his only friend when he was a kid. His parents didn't support his passion for music. They were not financially stable and were being practical so they would even throw his lyrics to discourage him but Suga would sneakily continue to do it. "As for me...[my parents] were very much against [me becoming a rapper] to make me reconsider [my choice], they hit [me] and fought, and things like this...so I made music [under those circumstances]. "I had some basic MIDI gear before entering the company, things I'd bought as lyricist after saving up enough money by walking around for 2 hrs everyday and skipping dinners every day." In his hometown, he used to work as a studio engineer while composing and performing in front of 2- 50 people, ( he was part of the hip-hop group called D-town then where he was one of the youngest). He worked part time at the music studio and was underpaid, so he had to sell his songs but often got scammed people didn't pay him) . He said his parents never saw him perform back then, which is why he once broke down at a concern when he saw his parents there. He had only one supporter at that time, his older brother, to whom he would show his songs. Suga had nothing except for his skills and confidence. He saw an audition poster (From Bighit company) of a rap competition on which he participated and won 2nd place. On semi-finals, participants were asked to perform to the same beat and write own lyrics but Suga modified the beat, not just wrote the lyrics which made him stood out. He was scouted later on. He was the only member who was already an established producer before becoming part of BTS. Suga went to Seoul to pursue music at 17. A rural boy who went to Seoul, South Korea's capital city, not many could understand his dialect. Imagine pursuing your dream where no one believes in you aside from your older brother. Where everyone told you that if you pursue music, you'll make your family broke. When asked if his parents eventually gave him permission to make music and Suga replies "well...before giving me permission, I was already out and about doing music." He struggled financially even when he finally got to Seoul and admitted that before, he would have to choose between buying two dollar noodles or using his money to take a bus home (he will always choose to starve ). On a Wings concept interview he said that in the past, he had struggled to afford three meals a day. Q: What happened in the past?" "I couldn't eat three meals a day It was hard" "When I was working in the studio, I arranged songs or made beats and even sold them. Then I naturally started to rap and did performances" Q: How much did you earn? " Nothing" Q: You said you were working though. "That’s what it was like to work there. Usually we don’t have any income. Working in the studio, it was difficult to pay for food and transport. In front of the studio, there was a Chinese restaurant that sells Jajangmyeon for 2,000 won, if I walk down further, there was a place that sells Janchi guksu for 1,000 won. I worried about it everyday. If I eat the 1,000 won Janchi guksu, I could get the bus and if I eat the 2,000 won Jajangmyeon, I’d have to walk 2 hours to get home. Even though it was tough, I want to make music so I endured it." At the time, his parents couldn't financially support him and struggled with helping him pay his university tuition because they were poor. That's why yoongi worked part time jobs as well (at dawn ) while maintaining going to school ( at different times and will end up sleeping most of time because he was tired) and practicing as a trainee at BigHit (at night). He also used to buy lottery tickets weekly because he was that desperate . Some of his part-time jobs were as a convenience store clerk, composing and MIDI teacher, and another as a delivery boy... which is how he got into an accident (2012, pre-debut) and his shoulder got shattered. He didn't tell anyone, afraid the company will kick him out, that's why his shoulder didn't heal right. This shoulder injury became something that he struggled with for 9 years. He told the members that he just fell down the stairs. Eventually, the company found out about this injury and paid his college tuition and hospital fees. It was surprising considering that the company were facing an almost "bankruptcy" at that time. Suga told the truth about the accident to the members 2018 on "Burn the Stage" series. It is also where he recalled that the last thing he remembered before the accident was the "wheel" in front of him. It's one of the factors as to why his mental health issues worsened. He has been quite open about his depression, social anxiety and OCD. He'd been suffering for almost a decade because of that injury that didn't heal right. It even came to a point that it became a hindrance to his everyday life and he had to get injections for the swelling and the pain quite frequently so he could still perform. His shoulder often got dislocated as well.He once said in an interview that when he tried to lift a 50ml bottle when they were filming a commercial, his shoulder hurt. Suga, underwent surgery in November 2020 to heal his shoulder, is his decision because he want to be able to continuously perform on stage. BTS dance choreographies are no joke and if you watch them perform, you wouldn't think that Suga had a chronic condition that constantly caused him pain. I can't imagine how he managed to perform despite of that. If he hadn't talked about it, fans wouldn't have known that his old injury was constantly acting up. This is only a part of his hardships. He really had gone through so much shit to get where he is at right now. No wonder he is so independent. Maybe it is why he is so used to carrying his burdens alone. "Bang PD-nim told me I've become much brighter after releasing my mixtape (in reference to the letter and how he released his first mixtape as a way to let out toxic emotions). He even asked me where the indecisive person full of wrath from before had gone. It was my complex and the way to solve it was music that I need to make" Agust D is Yoongi's way of healing himself and also healing people who also has struggles and is feeling hopeless. He also studies psychology because of this. This song is not autoconclusive, I recommend you listen to the whole album!

I think it was a version of himself he was trying to save, maybe Agust D. Maybe this signifies the end of Agust D - he did say this may be the last music he’ll release as Agust D. Agust Dwas created out of pain and anger, now he’s reached more peace, he feels Agust D isn’t needed anymore. This is just a theory but it makes sense from comments Yoongi has made.

This could be kind of long so I apologise. This song is so raw and powerful and I was really blown away by it when I first heard it. As someone who suffers with PTSD and CPTSD and has had a lot happen over the years, this song and MV hits on a deeper level than I was ready for upon first seeing it today. Without going into detail, loss and potential loss are the biggest factors of my trauma for me at that time it just felt like one bad thing after another. ("don't know why things are so hectic" / "Things I never asked for, Things that are outta my control"). I struggled for a long time and still do with choices I made during those times, always asking even now "did I do enough?/could I have done more?/could I have handled it better?" ("Hope I made the best decisions, Because they’re also all in the past now") But the thing about dealing with the memories is that you struggle with wanting to deal with them so you're finally able to put it behind you but also not wanting to remember them in the first place due to the nature of them. ("My amygdala (my amygdala) Please save me, please save me") And the thing about trauma is that, for people who have suffered a lot of it, it's hard to really remember who you were before it affected your life. So for me the line ("I don't know your name") could be coming from me on either side of my trauma - the me before my trauma wouldn't recognise the me I am with it because I'm so changed by it, but the me I am now doesn’t know who she is without it and struggles to let go of it for fear of not knowing who I'd be if I did. To the point sometimes I just kind of "put the memories back" in order to calm myself down and pretend it didn't happen to go about my day. This is something I feel Suga has had to go through himself and is kind of alluding to here with ("Let’s put them back in, one after another, Yeah, one after another, yeah, one after another") It's a difficult topic to speak on even with experience and I'm absolutely all for the topic being covered more for the sake of open communication about dealing with things like this. And while I'm not quite at the ("What didn’t kill me only made me stronger And I begin to bloom like a lotus flower once again") stage, I hope one day I might be and then I can put myself back together enough to live fully again. Again I apologise for the length of the comment, I just wanted to add my own thoughts after watching your reaction. Love your videos by the way! Always nice to see someone be as moved by/in tune with music as me. It's something I've always felt a bit weird for since I really get into songs when I listen lol. Keep up the good work and keep well!

I just wanted to say "thank you" for typing all my own words. I appreciate Yoongi's music so much, in whichever persona, because it shows that struggle between pain and healing, but especially that he offers that there IS healing, and we CAN be happy. Sometimes I envision him as holding light (like with a big mirror) at the *bend * of the tunnel (like a guide) so that we can see the end of the tunnel from it. In my darkest days "Yoongi wants me to be happy" (from a holiday greeting he made in a red & white striped sweater) has been a mantra that's saved me. It may sound silly to others, but knowing that he really knows this struggle intimately did more for me than so many bouts of therapy had managed. So I'm also waving a hand to you as we each journey onwards from our pains and traumas into the healing light👋💪✌️🖖💜💜

@@WonderingWildWanderingRose Thank you so much for your response and I absolutely relate. Sometimes it's not about how to fix something, sometimes it's just knowing someone else truly understands from their own perspective and wants the best for you. Here's to us and to everyone walking a similar path! May we reach the end of that tunnel with the guidance of whomever is best suited to helping us and may we find a happier life on the other side of it so that one day we too might guide others. 💜

Not sure if anyone aid this but he had a tour right after this music video came out and at the end of it he opens the door signifying that he finally found his healing. Or at least the beginning of it. He is a very critical thinker and uses each opportunity he has for story telling so he can tie it all together. Glad you’re checking out more of BTS. You gotta react to OUTRO:TEAR!!!!!!!! That song was written by him for BTS because they were at a point of pretty much breaking up and that song was a part of the reason they stayed… That year was the beginning of their best years that came. As Army we can be very passionate about our love for the boys but when you get to know their stories mixed in with their talent and artistry… It stops being a simple Fan & Artist relationship and honestly becomes FAMILY.

You have to check out the whole album. I really do think you would like bts' work both as a group and as individuals, you just need to give them a chance, I'll patiently wait for that time to come. Also, from my understanding, this track felt like he was purging himself of these emotions in a way. He did mention that it was hard creating this track because he had to recall some traumatic memories. The amygdala is basically a part of the brain that stores traumatic memories and the emotions associated with those memories. Looking forward to your dive into this rabbit hole. Have a great day 💜💜💜💜

Younger Suga on the bike at the end has an epiphany moment BEFORE the next residual "loop" memory replays again for the millionth time (as all that Augst D has been able to do up to this point is just re-live the tragedies over and over and over again in a downward spiral). Suga races to the door in a effort to stop the chaos and let Augst D out of his brain/Amygdala...and realizes that he can't change the past nor save himself from what he will have to go though as the door is locked. The 2 identities that make up Suga/Augst D will always be a part of him as we can't change our pasts no matter how much we wish we could. BUT, in that final scene, young Suga finally BROKE the haunting loop cycle memory by finally breaking out of that destructive pattern (him racing to open the locked door) instead of continuing on his bike in his memory and ultimately crashing as he has in his mind every time since the accident, over and over and over again. IN THIS ACTION of trying to take a stand against the mental torment and try and actually save himself breaks the downward spiral pattern because something different, for the first time, resulted in him actually WANTING to save his own life now. While the two entities will always be separate, breaking the mental loop of re-living tragedy every day brings the 2 entities into one and ignites the healing transformation that brings him to today as a prolific songwriter, story teller, survivor and massive mental health advocate and ally. This is literally one of the best songs ever made. Suga/Augst D is a fkn genius.

I love Suga and his raw and passionate lyrics. This Agust D trilogy ("Agust D", "D-2", and now "D-Day") has some of my favorite songs. If you go through them chronologically, you'll see him grow as a musician and as a person. But his BTS solo songs are great too and some of my favorite verses from him are in BTS songs, i.e. "Hip Hop Lover", where the rap line talk about their relationship with hip hop, and "Born Singer" (a remake of J. Cole's "Born Sinner", where they passionately talk about their debut experience.

Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala are a trilogy. This is where the King from Daechwita and the boss from Haegeum got their scars. In an interview Suga said that this is the end of Agust D because he no longer carries that anger and he is mellow now. 🙂 So He is doing well. He didnt get the shoulder fixed until 2020 after the pandemic hit. Imagine all their hard choreo and that left ARM is fractured. His last concert, he showed everyone where his "friendship" tattoo was located and it was right ABOVE the scar on that left shoulder.

Your reactions are always entertaining , even with songs that are more emotional. I personally think that the ending to this song is a symbolism for the struggles that we cannot overcome. Because let’s be honest, sometimes you lose. But I think the outcome of what you do with the situation defines you as a person. And I think that’s why in this video, this is the creation of the scar on his face. This marks the beginning of his struggles that he cannot overcome. And eventually you start to realize the struggles of the problems, and ending with Haegeum, as liberation. This whole album was a masterpiece!

The MV has age restriction and it's not suitable for everyone. Besides, SUGA himself had mood swing to go through his past memories and trauma to write this song. It's personal and he needs to wrap up his Agust D persona. So, he revealed his vulnerability in explicit MV. Most of us even got surprised. We know most of his past trauma and struggles. Honestly, this is meant to be for his fans. I mean his fans know many sides of him. We'll deal with this side of him. His past mixtapes were not even available for Korean streaming sites before. Agust D's songs are loved because of unfiltered, raw and sincerity. But, this is too much personal information and non-fans may get wrong idea or trigger some emotions. Edit: To those who may concern about SUGA situation, he's quite ok. He's bringing out both Agust D and SUGA to tour. He's connecting with his past memories and trauma for the treatment while writing this song. This song is not the end of his album D-Day. There's People Pt. 2 and other songs like "Life Goes On." He's syncing Agust D and SUGA sides. What he said in Suchiwta show (interviewed by RM), he's able to break the cycle of relapsing in depression which he suffered every two or three years. Don't worry too much about him.

Snooze would be the perfect continuation of getting to know this album. After discovering SKZ, I don't listen to BTS much anymore outside of j-hope's work, but this latest Suga album really surprised and moved me. I cried at Amygdala and at Snooze specifically. I didn't explore the meaning of his lyrics too much because they moved me on their own - they resonate with my own experiences and emotions. As for Amygdala - probably due to the use of autotune (which I love) it reminded me somehow of Volcano by Han? I don't know why, the mood of the two songs is different - but they both touch on intense emotions and musically I can see some similarities here. Currently, these are two of my favourite songs!

6:27 It is a sensitive topic and I think that YT did right putting a trigger warning on this video...but at the same time, this is definitely not a topic that Min Yoongi/Agust D has ever shied away from...which when you think of how people discuss mental health issues in SK, it's that much more brave of him. Starting in 2016 with his first mixtape and the track The Last...where raps about going to a psychiatrist and hinted at suicidal ideation...issues of anxiety, and depression have always been on table for him. He's been a role model for so many to open up, not feel as broken and that it's okay to not be perfect. One of my emotional comfort songs from him is People from 2020's D-2. This is the quality of artists you get in BTS, he's not a one off when it comes to that group. They've always been brave enough to go there.

Yoongi has shared his mental health issues with us since the beginning, and he stated how some of his roughest times were in the early days, like from 2014 to 2016, how he developed social anxiety at age 18, he was dealing with depression and OCD. BTS had hate coming at them from all angles, and it took a toll on them in the early years. So hearing all the other things he was dealing with as well, just puts things into perspective. He's such a strong person. In the making video, he said the scars we create are of our own making. So the best way for him to represent that was the way that he did with the scar on his face. And the medicine he took was for his condition. He talked about how he saw a psychiatrist and his parents went with him, and they said they didn't know who he was anymore. This was in "The Last" from his first mixtape Agust D. He said how could anyone know him when he doesn't know himself, so that phrase "I don't know your name" made sense to me. Looking back at repressed memories. Thankfully he got through all of it, and now is healed to a certain degree. I see the rain as a shift., He also talked about "What doesn't kill you make you stronger", and he is now blooming like a lotus flower. The lotus flower is very resilient, and can grow in mud and water, like on a lake or pond. So I see the rain as cleansing, and healing. He also said in the behind the scenes on Daechwita, that the mad King was the Agust D from his first Mixtape in 2016, and the peasant was from his 2020 mixtape D-2. You can see the scar is very raw in that video on both of them, maybe slightly less for the 2020 Agust D. In Haegeum, i interpret it as Agust D from 2020 is the Police detective/corrupt Boss, with the partially healed scar, and the Agust D that kills, and steals the money with no scar is D-Day Agust D. The one that is mostly healed and is talking about freedom. (Do we ever completely heal from our scars?) In an interview with IU, and in the D-Day film, he talks about how he was very angry and now he has forgiven the haters and is living in the present. So his music moving forward may not have the angry vibe that we have seen in the past. But he is definitely not done yet My concluding thought is that you can't erase your memories, because they make up who you are. Once you look at them and start the healing process, you can come to terms with your past and have acceptance for it. That is how we learn, grow, and can help the next person deal with similar issues as they come. I believe he has accepted most of the past and has integrated it now. Definitely check out his album, I would like to link a fanmade video that is done very well, to Snooze, and it's a really good song. It's in my top 3 of his album. I will be going to see him in May 16, in Oakland, California. I am very excited. There are accurate English subtitles. This mv is about his live these thngs happened to him. The accident happened when he was a trainee he didnt tell bighit because he was afraid he would be fired. He crushed his shoulder and he had surgery eight years late. He has had it hard in life. He has suffered from depression The amygdala is the part of the brain that controls fear and threats to us. I think the end was him trying to save himself and change the past. But he couldn't , the past made him who he is now going through it all.

Teddy, I just discovered your channel. Really enjoy your insight on stuff! This is one of my favorite songs on the album, truly unexpected vulnerability. He always 100% brings it with the lyrics. I think we’re watching the struggle inside Suga’s brain represented by the room. When young Suga runs to “rescue” himself from the painful memories by letting him out of the room, it’s as though he’s facing those painful thoughts. I don’t view the fact that he couldn’t rescue himself (in the past) as necessarily a bad thing. It’s the fact that he tried. I was lucky enough to see Suga | Agust D perform this live in Newark, New Jersey last Saturday and I can tell you it was both emotional and powerful. Suga puts on an incredible show.

Thank you! I also was screaming at him to kick the damn door!but sadly traumas stay with us for life, all we can do is to manage them, to learn to live with them, as they literally changed our brain chemistry. So we just adjust and keep on living . I love all of BTS but Yoongi resonates with me the most,.I find myself in his music, and his struggles are partially mine, thats why I wanted him to open the door, and he did. In his last concert before enlistmet he did!

I think Amygdala shows how Agust D, Suga's alter ego was born, through his stress and traumas. Daechwita is his greedy, violent self he is trying to kill off, and Haegeum is his liberation from Agust D. This is my interpretation. He is putting Agust D to rest finally. 💜

The scene at the very start where he's riding the scooter is funnily enough a reference to his real life. Before his debut with BTS he worked a lot of different jobs barely scraping by, and one of those jobs was some sort of deliveryman. He did have an accident just like the one in the video one day and injured his shoulder pretty bad.

Agust D speaks about mental health a lot... He's in a better place now - that's why he's looking at his wounds in hindsight. You'll find the answers in his album :) Also he's been very anti drugs btw...You can start with his first album Agust D - Agust D, then D2 finally D-Day the most recent album.. translations from Doolset Bangtan. It will blow your mind.

One important detail in suga's videos is the characterization and what each character represents. Here, the Suga of the motocycle is the past Suga, the one who was a trainee and struggling with money. The one in the grey sweat is present Suga, the one who has to bear with trauma and the bad memories, The one who knows everything that has happened already and regrets many things, and suffers from the consequences. Then there's a third one, the one in the green jacket, is the part of his brain that blames him (himself). It´s like a representation of depression and anxiety. That Suga "enjoys" this confrontation inside of Suga's brain. The thing is, that past Suga cannot change anything for present Suga, even if he tries. Things are what they are, and present Suga is showing us a very vulnerable part of himself and his worst moments. He sings to his "amygdala" bc that's the part of the brain that processes emotions and trauma, and so, it's like he's asking himself to be strong, to overcome and survive.

The amygdala is the fight or flight response part. It’s where trauma lives. I read something about how he thought the amygdala was there to protect us, but trauma makes it trigger and leads to anxiety, ocd, etc. I interpreted it as saying… when will I be safe enough? Trauma response is the amygdala protecting us too much and he’s asking when will he finally be safe enough that the trauma can leave?

My Interpretation of ending the video like this is not giving up at all, it’s about radical acceptance. There’s peace in it. It’s okay to stop fighting, just hang in there, maybe the door will open another time. His past self trying to break in…heartbreaking but for me it’s kind of comforting as well. It’s ok not to be ok.

The motorcycle accident was real and was a traumatic event for Yoongi. He was a delivery boy while he was a trainee. He got into a major accident that completely messed up his shoulder. Because of BTS’s schedule, he did not have it repaired until COVID hit. He then had the time to have the much-needed surgery and the recovery time. He performed their dances by taking cortisone shots, but was still in pain. I think that I don’t know your name is referring to the Amygdala, the part of the brain that records memories and traumatic events.

Yeah... we all wanted to kick that door down. (Don't worry - at the end of his tour last year, he walked through that door smiling.) Yoongi has always promoted getting good mental health care. He struggled for many years and has been open about his past with it. There is no evidence of harming or worse to the self (lots of misinformation on that) but he did have to get professional help and it was really rough for him. He says he still suffers from depression from time to time. He promotes getting help for when you are struggling. So, through these I know you question his meanings (I don't know your name). He has stated during lives and such that he writes it not just from his own perspective but for others to take it in the way they need it to be. He wants people to interpret things their own way. I'm sure other ARMY have told you, but the motorcycle accident was real. He worked as a delivery boy during the beginning days to help pay for food for BTS because the company was that bad off financially. After the accident, he hid how badly he was injured because he didn't want to delay schedules or risk BTS in any way. He didn't want to turn to his parents because they had enough on their plate. They were very hesitant to allow him to pursue music because they couldn't financially support him through that. So he didn't want them to worry, either. So he hid the pain and had to take more and more medication to get through those years. It was almost 5 years before he finally got surgery. (If you are watching videos from during his recovery time, you will see there is a an empty spot for him, whether it is during a performance or even just photo shoots.) It's also part of why he is doing civil service for his military service. The injury was so bad that he is not medically cleared and has to do a longer service period because of it. On a positive note, both his parents are alive. During his Suchwita show (his own show that he created to help fellow musicians, esp his BTS members, to have a way to talk about their work while they drink and eat, also worth checking out) he talks about how they helped him deal with the COVID pandemic. BTS had to cancel their world tour, which they knew was going to be their goodbye tour before entering service. They didn't know how long the pandemic would last. According to him, performing is essential to being a musician. It's what all the work is leading up to. So he did struggle with the grief we all felt. He talks about being able to go to and be comforted by his parents. So the family is still going strong. And if you think any of this is fire, go check out the D-Day concert in theaters. They are releasing a special version that is going to include special performances from most of the BTS members that did join him on stage individually on select nights toward the end of the tour he did. I was at his New York performances and I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it was.

I really suggest that you give bts a try as a whole. To really get a sense of their style, you’d probably have to go back to 2013 when they released their first album ‘2 Kool 4 Skool’ where they criticised the Korean school system and how older generations bring the younger ones down and try to make them give up their dreams to become civil servants. You don’t have to, but I think you’d really like bts if you gave them a try without having any prejudice or using what you’ve heard about them being a boy band without substance against them, because that’s not even close to what they are. Also, keep in mind the oldest member was only 21, the youngest being 15, and the members were still credited for the song making in every song. Keep in mind some of it may be cringy because let’s face it, 2013 was a pretty cringy time looking back at it now 😭

Yoongi said that this is the end of the trilogy, of Agust D... I got frustrated with the end too, they always ends with a message of hope! But I think he wanted to say that the process of going out is long... that period he was still stuck into his pain. I think that when he makes the scar on his faceit represents the birth of Agust D, his persona that has carried that burden, anger all this time long... self inflilcted harm as he sayswe do, in Haegeum... He said he's ok now... songs like this are part of the treatment, put the pain out and kill it, It provokes more pain, but it's the only way to leave the past in the past.

I think you should watch People Pt.2. This song is not the last song of the album. He brought up his past to deal with it. Now .... he's touring with two identities - SUGA and Agust D. So, I don't think Agust D, part of him was trapped in or died there. Let's see the dark side and past trauma are hard to handle and it came back time after time without knocking. But, he said he broke that cycle in Suchiwita. He's quite ok.

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Such a good song. Pls pause as much as u want. I love hearing your thoughts. This is my fav song from his album. My 2nd fav is Snooze. I love all the songs though. But these for some reason made me feel more. When i heard this for the 1st time i smiled. This MV speaks his truth. I am glad Suga talked about it more. I think the more u speak about it the easier it gets as the years pass. I am sorry he went through so much. I am sad he did not reach the door. I think this song is tricky. I think the MV enhanced the song a lot for me. Good visuals. Loved the feels. I am an empath so i take it in. Suga was sharing his trauma, his painful memories right. I was not aware his mom had heart surgery or that his dad battled cancer. I wonder if his bike accident occured in the same year as everything else. We know Suga survived it was a miracle. Yoongi dealt with so much pain for so long. We were all so glad he finally had the shoulder surgery. They are so strong all of them. They are our strength and we theirs. Hugs tight Teddy. I was finally able to cry for him at last on my 2nd listen with Anitra. My therapist said I am not afraid of death. I faced my death already dealing with cancer. So his truth was not that shocking to me. But still I wanted to cry for him because he can't. Borahae. -NY USA 2019 Army 💟 I Purple Jimin 💜said on 4/25/23 People with PTSD have the same issues with their amygdala. Not being able to process emotion and trauma properly. People who suffer with PTSD in multiple forms would understand this mv straight off. Its the whole process of nightmares vs flashbacks. Flashbacks being more of a process for PTSD sufferers. I have Complex PTSD and hypervigilance so i understand this mv with all its little nuances. I respect Yoongi so much that he's been able to be so open with these issues. Alix DriftwoodDragons said on 4/25/23 I think the trilogy is about slowly recovering from trauma... the Amygdala MV explains the key to understanding the other two MVs, in that it shows that the scar is a mark of a character that is acting on their trauma - Yoongi has been slowly healing over the years. In Daechwita (D-2), he replaced "blond Agust D" from the first mixtape (he was blond for the MVs he released in 2016), who was a king who ruled out of anger... in Haegeum, a new Yoongi who DOESN'T have a scar, he's healed from his trauma - or at least has learned how to have it not continue to hurt him any more by self-inflicting wounds in response to it - and Haegeum Yoongi replaces D-2 Yoongi whose scar is old but still there, and is ruling in a civil manner but perhaps too caught up in the flexing aspect (the fancy suit, the slick image). I think Haegeum is the end on a note of Yoongi being free, and living the way he wants. Amygdala is needed to explain that key though - what Yoongi had to go through mentally to get to that point. The fact that he's sharing this with us, to me, means that he's reached a healthy place where he feels strong and recovered enough to share the story. Even if he can't put a firm happy ending on it, because you can't do that with mental struggles - in the latest episode of Suchwita, he even tells RM that he gets low every 2-3 years, but has learned how to handle it better as time has passed, and now RM thinks he's the most positive person on the team. Really, Yoongi is absolutely amazing. I love him so much and he deserves all the hugs in the world. @charethiebeldad8303 said on 5/4/23 His trying to save himself, but failed so he just accepted the other side of him wholeheartedly and later they both find healing,. MIN YOONGI /SUGA/AGUST D was indeed a genius! Thank you guys as always! 🤗💜💜💜💜 @Drifty-Alix said on 6/13/23 I really appreciate the interpretation of "green Suga/almond-eating Suga" because I honestly didn't know how to interpret that character and what Carlos said makes SO MUCH SENSE and also gives me closure for the MV, when I didn't feel like it had much closure before. I always felt like Yoongi storyboarded these MVs the way he did for a reason - that they can touch on both his personal journey, but also the problems with the industry/society that he sees. I also loved Carlos' comment about Yoongi putting himself in both the hero and villain role, as a commentary that he's also part of/a product of the society/industry that he's criticizing, but that just means he knows exactly what he's talking about. Anyway, great discussion!

If it makes you feel better this song is not about his current state. He has said that he has never been happier than now. This is a look back at what he went through because he is closing that chapter of his life. He has said that he has struggled with depression and a past song alluded to thoughts of suicide. My take is that his best choice was choosing not to act those thoughts and because he didn't he lived to get to a much better place in his life. I want to thank you for your reaction. I had not thought about how it might be the audience watching whose names he doesn't know. Even if that wasn't what Yoongi intended, it puts the lyrics in a new light for me and I really appreciate that. It's what I like about watching reaction videos. So with the swearing.. you are correct in general, but their solo albums were done as the members all started leaving for their mandatory military duties and are sort of a part 2 to BTS in general. They kind of took the opportunity to just throw all the rules out of the window and speak their truths. Jimin's entire solo album is very different from what we're used to from him. It is brilliant.
