These are the same years that the Black population of Africa had to develop but chose not to, and if she feels that strongly , maybe she should return and encourage them to do the same. She should ask herself this, If she had been born in Africa and stayed. No she was born in Nigeria and educated in the UK where the white people come from. To them, diversity more specifically means nonwhite people, but it can also be a proxy for just black people. And the disturbing part of that realization is that they always portray diversity as an unquestionably positive thing and a lack of diversity as an unquestionably negative thing. So the thinly veiled message there is that the existence and presence of nonwhite people is unquestionably positive, while the existence and presence of white people is unquestionably negative. It is arguably a genocidal ideology when all the window dressing is trimmed away.

Quite so, and she is astonishingly arrogant as well. What is it that makes for a good pundit? It's not such an easy question to answer when you think about it, and there are a great deal of subjective criteria. Yet, many would agree that Roy Keane, Simon Jordan, even Gary Neville stand out in a field of mediocrity. Jose Mourinho was instantaneously good value too. So, being opinionated is good if the opinions are authentic and insightful in stead of regurgitating meaningless tropes. Experience is valuable, and diversity of experience is useful. Charisma is vital, with a good dose of self-awareness and humour. The good ones stand out because being good at sport and having a few GCSEs simple is not enough to qualify you. In the end, she isn't up to the job, but worse she feels so goddamned entitled that she can't see her own weaknesses.

I encountered this need for diversity over ability way back in 1995, when I was recruiting for the Fire Brigade in England. During our exams and physical tests, we were informed by the guys in charge that "there HAD to be a specific percentage of women and black recruits who made it in, regardless of ability". It wasn't so much fully 'ethnic' back then, but more specifically black. There was even a black guy argued that this was wrong. Don't get me wrong, he was an athlete so, unless he was thick as absolute pig shit, he was gonna make it in.........But even he saw how wrong it was.
