so far i have never faced the kings gambit at the chess club. I tried it once myself, but i didn't had the time to fully study all the lines and didn't knew what to do after 2. d5 for black. Now i know it is 3. exd5 often followed up by black with 3. e4

I like how i dont use most of ur openings but i use ur vids to counter them lol
@RainerErhart-t3f4 ай бұрын
the video is super. my gf tried this gambit three times in the last games i take f5 and we end up almost like in the kings gambit, except that she hast no pawn on f7 anymore which makes it easy to check.

Definitely worth learning, even though in practice queens get traded early and you'll be playing positional chess in a very messy position. (oh I just saw that you avoid the early Qh4+)

Can you make a video about King's Gambit: Zilbermints Double Countergambit? (1e4 e5; 2 f4 g5)
@miked25434 жыл бұрын
That's weird, I'm also a King's gambit player and I encountered this f5 defense for the first time a few days ago. I was confused at first, but I played 3. nc3 and won fairly easily. It was a weird k.g game for sure though, I think I even ended up castling queenside...

Hey Kevin, what is your favorite opening for black? I love the King's gambit for white too, I'd love to hear your favorites for black against e4 and d4.

yo u messed up at 8:37 - 9:11 both variats needs the same number of moves to get the center pawn and the bxf5 but in the variant of we taking the queen, we will get the central pawn protectable (c pawn) and not isolated like the variant you showcased as better (but i am just good at math not in chess, i dont critism your chess, just your math)

We can play g6 which forces the Queen to retreat.... if it retreats all the way back to d1, we can play exf4 which transitions to some variations Kevin went over.... if it retreats to e2 or f3 we can play Nc6 with view of gaining tempo on the Queen in the next move....
