I’m all in on Svelte. To be fair though, I never picked up React ( long story, mostly due to legacy). Looking at Svelte really pushed me over the edge of finally finding a way to retrofit a modern component library into our massive legacy codebase ( I’m using web components, I.e, custom elements, as a shim/proxy for this). So far, I REALLY love it!

In Germany there are actually a lot of jobs for Angular devs. Most bigger companies use Angular in Germany. But React is very close up. I learned React and found my job in a mid sized company

I just learned svelte this weekend and it took me about 2 days to learn it and make my project, wasn't anything complex it has authentication and make calls to backend, overall svelte won't take much time to learn and it is really enjoyable as they say, but I could find a good routing library all of them has quirks I don't know about other libraries but it is definitely much much smaller than react ecosys, I highly recommend it if you want to learn something new, but if your are comparing between svelte and react, you should choose react for sure.
@hiberniankingy Жыл бұрын
It used to be Sapper a year or two back but now you can use Sveltekit which has routing similar to NextJs

Thanks for the informative analysis of the React situation. I've never been in doubt about React's whereabout in the coming years. It still has a good 10-15 years to spend at the top especially as more Frameworks which build upon it emerge.
@GurpreetSingh-lc9ii Жыл бұрын
At this point, 15 years is a very optimistic view. 2-3 years max and the lifespan of these technologies are reducing day by day so maybe by the point you learn it there will be something new. Happened to me when I started learning java for android back in 2018 and kotlin followed by flutter came.

You really cleared almost all of my confusion. Today and even past few days I was keeping thinking why the hell they're not just providing way to just use react in documentation, why do i need to use next js while to take advantage of all features of next js i will need to use vercel for hosting and everyone knows how much costly they are. I decided to use svelte or the new framework qwik or quick whatever but it's totally new so can't trust it'll be as promising as other old frameworks. There were so many questions in my head. I'm still a beginner who started react and right after 2 days they changed documentation 😑 so i started next js too. And i created a social media app by myself using next js and react but I was still worried will it worth learning next js coz they're costly. And finally today i end up with a decision and that is - let's learn all of these one by one. Just create 1 or 2 projects in each popular frameworks like svelte, nextjs, qwik, remix, gatsby, etc. And then decide what to master according to flexibility and features. And finally your video just made my decision more strong that learning just any one of them is not helpful as trends changes, not any framework is perfect, so as a developer we should keep learning....
@Matrium09 ай бұрын
Thanks for the video. As an Angular developer (mostly) who tries to keep up a little bit with other frameworks, I was quite confused to see no stable release on Github for 1.5 years. Seems to be a transition period, but I feel like it's all a big mess right now, with features that are unstable in React being called stable (and buggy, like the router fiasco) in next.js. Honestly I am not sure if I like that development for React. For me I always viewed it as a lightweight alternative to the heavyweight "all-in-one-solution" that is Angular.

You actually can create a next application without using any of its features, so I dont think it creates extra difficulity when learning React. When you are learning React you usually also learn Routing at the end of the learning path for instance.

Atg 9:35 you say that if I have a highly interactive website it might be really annoying, but would that cause the page to be slower in performance? Or in terms of performance would it be better to stick with CRA? I am planning on making portfolio website with lots of interactive and moving elements but I am not sure whats the best approach for performance.

I stated learning react after watching your first video using nextjs then did try to test mobile app with expo and then using basic react app to create react admin page. When i used next js i did not like i have to use Use client in all pages involving MUI code. I really dont know which code deserve to be in SSR and not Client. This is blurred line. Also most all pages has buttons. If there is button it cant be SSR? FLAT HTML is only SSR? BLOG PAGE also has buttons. How it become SSR? ( less and more in them)

@Ethanishful Жыл бұрын
No difference. Vite is just a build tool. frameworks have their own build tool, but the difference is that they also come with a node backend. Vite is the simplest way to learn react because you don’t need to learn about a framework specific backend.
