Natural Cold Process Soap Recipe
This Soap is made from 100% Olive Oil half of which was infused with these key Herbs for skin health. Dandelion is one of the best known cleansing herbs combined with Burdock Root is fantastic for clearing acne, ezcema, psoriasis or problem skin.
Chamomile is soothing and anti-inflammatory. It too can alleviate ezcema, rashes and inflamed skin conditions. Best of all is it's wonderful soft scent that is completely natural from the oil and herbs.
Pure & Simple Natural Soap Recipe
Total Weight of oils 900g
Superfat 5 %
Lye Concentration 33%
Water 228g (50% water reduction)
Lye 114g
Olive Oil 900g
Soap weight before cure 1,274g
I left this Soap completely unscented and no natural colourants were added. Because I made a herbal infusion with half of the olive oil this made the oil go slightly more yellow which had a nice effect on the final bars.
With the water reduction I found I could unmold the Soap the next day which isn't usually the case with Pure Olive oil Soaps. Keep a check on any Soap that you do a water reduction on as it may get to hard to cut quick!!
